Westerville North vs Central Defensive Game Report
The new look Central Wildcats held off a late rally from North under the lights Friday in Westerville and got the win 14-7. Hot and steamy conditions were present the entire game with an electric crowd hungry for their first in person action since 2019.

#8 <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="120191" first="Jason" last="Robertson"]</strong> SS - Jason had a key interception in the first half. This 2022 is a jack of all trades: plays WR, Punts, and Kickoffs. Has good technique and is patient in his movements. Reads plays well and comes up on the run and makes good tackles. Attacks the ball in the air and wins the 50/50 balls. Should continue to have a good season.

#18 <strong>Matthew Nguyen</strong> LB - This 2022 is a tough player with a nose for the ball. He is good in between the tackles and takes on blocks with his hands and hips. Aggressive blitz technique and makes plays in the backfield. Runs plays down the outside and is a great tackler. He will have a great Senior season.

#37 <strong>Carson Bopp</strong> OLB - This 2023 is a very good football player. He is athletic on the edge and does a good job of setting the force. Good blitzer with pass rush technique to get to the QB. He covers space well in the pass game and makes good open field tackles.

#29 <strong>Jakob Puster</strong> NG - This 2023 is a tough NG with good ball get off and block destruction. Has a quick first two steps and gets up the field fast. He has a good punch with violence and sheds blocks sufficiently. He is a a good pass rusher with a good rip move. Going to be a force from the middle all season long.
