Jamir Dewberry had a monster game for Broome in a 48-41 shootout win over Chesnee. He was one of Dylan Ramirez Dylan Ramirez 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Broome | 2022 State SC ’s main targets with four catches for 87 yards, but that was just part of his evening. He emerged as the backfield leader the Centurions have been looking for, rushing 25 times for 212 yards and two touchdowns.
Mack Long was exceptional for Byrnes in the Rebels’ 37-27 victory over Chapman. Long certainly did his part on offense, rushing for 158 yards, averaging 9.9 yards per carry, and scoring two touchdowns while adding 48 receiving yards. He’s not really a two-way player, but he had just as big a presence on defense. Pressed into service at defensive back for a single snap, Long simply went and got the ball, notching an interception that turned away a Chapman scoring threat.
Tyson Rogers (pictured) announced his presence as a third downfield receiving threat for Dorman. Rogers led the way in the Cavaliers 33-0 victory over Boiling Springs. He had just three touches on the night, but all three went for touchdowns, as he hauled in a scoring reception from three different Dorman quarterbacks.
Tyler Smith Tyler Smith 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Gaffney | 2022 State SC continued to provide the power out of the backfield in Gaffney’s 35-7 victory over Summerville. The Indians rushed for 172 yards in the win, led by Smith’s 96 yards on 14 carries. He scored on runs of 5, 8, and 7 yards.
DJ Black DJ Black 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR Chapman | 2022 State SC turned in an eye-popping game for Chapman in a losing effort to Byrnes. Black caught eight passes for 199 yards and three touchowns, including a 94-yard bomb from Drew Settle Drew Settle 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Chapman | 2022 State SC that gave the Panthers their last lead of the contest.
