The list below is consisted of some upcoming seniors who I believe will have incredible impacts for their respected teams, and those who deserve much more attention for their incredible play on the field. Each one of these athletes have the talent to continue playing at the next level, and what they do on the field this season will support that case. This is only a few names but we will have many more coming soon!
RB Kendrick Bradley Kendrick Bradley 5'11" | 170 lbs | RB Klein Forest | 2022 State TX (5’9″ 180) – Klein Forest
From the beginning of his film, Bradley displayed great strength, balance, and burst. He is a serious issue out of the backfield, either receiving passes or handoffs. Bradley showed incredible vision and instincts. When there was daylight, Bradley took advantage of it with his initial burst and finished his runs with much physicality. Bradley welcomed contact and showed incredible toughness. Bradley finished the season with 523 rushing yards with 4 touchdowns and added 103 receiving yards along with 2 receiving touchdowns. Bradley was also named to the First Team All-District team. His game is something else to behold and I know he has plenty more to show on the field.
DL Lukia Rawls (6’0″ 265) – Klein Cain
I cannot speak enough about Rawls and his play. The district’s defensive MVP is, to simply put, and monster on the field. The young man plays on another level and can control the game with his play! Rawls gave opposing teams fits with his quickness and power, and delivered a spark for his team whenever needed. Rawls showed a terrific motor and just dominated when he stepped on the field. Rawls finished a fantastic season last year with 77 total tackle, 19 TFLs. and 7 sacks. Remember the name!
WR Kole Wilson (5’9″ 170) – Paetow
Wilson showed to be a true threat in the slot as well as on the outside. Despite his size, Wilson fights for the 50/50 balls and will embarrass a defensive back trying to overpower him. Wilson was fluid on his routes and showed incredible body control. He was quick out of his stance and looked to be the fastest player on the field at times. He displayed great, strong hands and made play after play with the ball in his possession. Wilson finished last year with 21 receptions for 230 yards and led the team with 5 receiving touchdowns. He is a dynamic athlete who can turn the tide of a game with one play and can leave spectators in awe after watching him. Wilson was named to the Second Team All-District team last season.
OL Jalen Cooper (6’4″ 275) – C.E. King
Cooper takes care of business in the running game, being able to display his power and ability to move at his size. Cooper fires out of his stance and shows very good quickness making his way to the second level. He is light on his feet and has incredible burst on his pulls. IN the passing game, Cooper does a good job of absorbing the initial punch thrown by rushers, then anchoring down and holding his own in pass set. He can get to his spots in pass protection before speed rushers, and once he gets his hands on a defender, its a wrap. Cooper can continue to develop into a top linemen and shows great potential. He was named First Team All-District.
DB Michael McBride (6’0″ 195) – Clear Springs
A safety with a nose for the ball, McBride is a player who you will see all over the field. He is everywhere. McBride was one of the best in run support last season, racing downhill to stick opposing ball carriers when they were in sight. HE showed excellent speed and recognition, and displayed true football instincts. In coverage, McBride was just as good as he was in run support. He showed very good ball skills and change of direction. He finished the season with 2 INTs, 5 PBUs, and 91 tackles from his position. McBride was named to the First Team All-District team from his outstanding play. He is a true ball player and look for him come out with a bang this upcoming season.
WR Jayden Grey (6’2″ 170) – Tomball
Grey is a nice sized receiver who plays at a physical level. A true red zone and deep threat, Grey uses his size and strength to get the deep and contested passes. After the catch, Grey is a player who bulllies his way through defenders for the extra yards. Grey looks to initiate the contact and usually is the player putting defenders on their backs. He is a player who takes pride in blocking as well, creating openings for his teammates. Grey wants to overpower opponents and you have to love it. He finished last season with 28 receptions for 416 receiving yards, and led the team in receiving touchdowns with 4.
DL Rocky Jack (6’1″ 265) – Summer Creek
Jack was a force in the interior of the line last season. At times he looked unblockable. Jack played quick with his hands and shed blocks with ease. He showed tremendous strength paired with quickness off the snap. Jack had opposing linemen 4 yards in the backfield before the ball was handed off. An excellent talent, Jack was named First Team All-District and expect him to be even better this year.
DB Ja’Kobe Crawford (5’10″ 170) – C.E. King
This is definitely a player to keep eyes on this season. Crawford is an incredible talent for the Panthers defense. He is electric and a playmaker on the field. Crawford showed great speed, awareness, and recognition last season. He made plays consistently in the run game, showing his quickness coming downhill and avoiding blocks. He was fantastic in coverage, and showed great skill in redirection, recovery, and playing through the receivers. Crawford was a physical tackler and was able to separate the ball from opponents often. He finished last season with 92 total tackles.
