As we creep closer to the 2021 season, some of Arizona's best remain uncommitted. Some of which have taken multiple visits this summer and have a "top schools of interest" list, while others still look to bust loose to drive in more offers throughout the fall. Regardless, these guys are very intriguing prospects to follow in terms of both talent and recruitment, and things will heat up in just a few weeks as we start the season. Here's a look at the top uncommitted talent in Arizona as we approach the 2021 season:
[player_tooltip player_id="42782" first="Anthony" last="Lucas"], DL, 6’5" 290lbs, Chaparral
Lucas is the #1 recruit in the 2022 class and remains uncommitted as we approach the season. He checks all the boxes as a multi-year starter at a P5 program, which is why he holds around 25 offers. He originally released his top 10 list back in April which included (in no order) Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, Florida State, Texas, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Oregon, and UCLA, and then later added LSU to his schools on interest. He also took a plethora of visits this summer, so it will be very interesting to see how his recruitment plays out from here.
[player_tooltip player_id="100645" first="Shakaun" last="Bowser"], LB, 6’4" 225lbs Casteel
The offseason heated up for Bowser, as he picked up the majority of his 14 total offers from December to May. Bowser is a flat out game changer on the defensive side of the ball for Casteel with a high ceiling. He took visits this summer to Oregon State, Arizona State, Colorado, and Kansas State.

[player_tooltip player_id="42808" first="Jai" last="Rodriquez"], OL, 6’6" 275lbs, Desert Vista
Rodriquez is a very promising prospect out of Desert Vista with numerous intangibles to translate to the next level. He holds offers from Arizona State, Northern Arizona, and Idaho thus far, and projects to see more offers flood in throughout the season. He possesses solid bend, flexibility, athleticism, and is explosive at the POA. High ceiling with big potential as he heads into his senior campaign.
[player_tooltip player_id="42840" first="Jacob" last="Holmes"], DL, 6’3" 285lbs, Chandler
Holmes had a very short junior season at Cesar Chavez before transferring to Chandler, but popped off with the opportunities he had during 2020. Holmes currently holds 11 offers, and visited Arizona, Arizona State, and West Virginia this summer. Highly touted defensive lineman who projects to have a breakout senior campaign.
[player_tooltip player_id="42795" first="Javen" last="Jacobs"], ATH, 5’10" 185lbs, Saguaro
Jacobs is one of the most impressive all-around athletes in the state, as he is also a standout baseball player for Saguaro. He's a very dynamic player with big position versatility and the ability to make an impact on both sides of the ball, as well as special teams as a return man. He holds 10 offers thus far and will be one of the most intriguing players to watch in 2021.
[player_tooltip player_id="42798" first="Treyson" last="Bourguet"], QB, 6’2" 195lbs, Salpointe Catholic
Bourguet decommitted from Arizona back in December of 2020, and saw a couple of offers come in to shake up his recruitment. One of the most intriguing QB prospects in the state remains uncommitted, and whoever lands Bourguet will be getting a gem from Southern AZ. He continues to take leaps and impress, as he holds offers from BYU, Columbia, and Idaho, and has drawn interest from numerous P5 programs. Bourguet has the potential to put up massive numbers this fall, and could definitely see P5 attention and offers come in during the season.
