Kim is a three-year starter for the Sailors who has his three top receivers returning this fall. Each time I see him play he adds a different element to his game. He is accurate to all levels of the field and always keeps his eyes down the field even when under pressure. If Kim and his receivers have a big year, Newport can work its way into the top three of the Sunset League. He has an offer from Pomona-Pitzer.
Sailors QB @nickkim_7 describes the importance of young leadership on his team.
We can't wait to see what @CarsondeAvila1 @HenjumKashton @JosiahLamarque @1kjacob_ and all the other young guns on the Sailors do this year! @NHTarsFootball pic.twitter.com/05Nvv9oHBi

9. AJ Perez, Huntington Beach
Perez is tall with a smooth release and a big arm. His accuracy impressed media and scouts at the Huntington Beach passing tournament. He has quality receivers back and a big transfer receiver to throw to. He split time with a senior last year and it will be interesting to see how he does as the lone starter with full control of the offense. He is very confident and said during Public School Media Day that he has always been this good and that it’s nice that he is finally getting recognition.

8. Lachlan Rosmalen, San Clemente
He had some growing pains as a junior for the Tritons in the spring but showed flashes of a really good quarterback. He throws a good ball and when I saw him at the Marina Passing Tournament he had improved his timing with his receivers. He lost a lot of his top receivers but he has the potential to make a huge leap this fall and lead the Tritons to another league title.
After and incredibly challenging wait, we were able to take the field and take advantage of the opportunity. So proud of the entire team as we finished 5-0 league champs. Next season will be more of the same. https://t.co/lVCjMUs7pJ

7. Tobey Schmidt, Tustin
He passed for over 300 yards per game for Maranatha last season and led Mater Dei to a Battle at the Beach passing tournament championship as a sophomore in 2019. He is in the Empire League now which is much more competitive but he has some returning players around him at Tustin and a coaching staff that believes in him. He is the best pure passer Tustin has had in many years.

6. Tyler Gioia Tyler Gioia 5'10" | 165 lbs | QB Edison | 2022 CA , Edison
Smaller quarterback who played receiver last season for Edison and played lower level football at Servite prior to that. He has worked with Jordan Palmer and is one of the more athletic quarterbacks in the county. He is coming off an injury and may not be able to play until late September, but he is working with the team daily and helping Edison’s current quarterback Parker Awad. He has an offer from Missouri S&T.
