Peyton Reasonover – Central Catholic – DB – 6’1″ 160 lbs
On Friday, Reasonover was able to make key plays on defense when it mattered. The senior is one of the signal-callers for the Fighting Irish and he came through on Friday. Reasonover was able to make a handful of plays. He had a few tackles, a tipped pass, but most importantly, an interception. A ball got tipped and Reasonover was able to layout for it and make the pick. He’s currently an unrecruited football player. All of his HUDL information is basketball. If he keeps making plays he could land the eyes of some college coaches and maybe change his mind.
Grant Zimmerly Grant Zimmerly 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL Perrysburg | 2023 State OH – Perrysburg – G/DT – 6’4″ 274 lbs
Zimmerly does play both ways, but his impact on Friday was on defense. He was lining up a 3 tech most of the night and that’s where he made his noise. Zimmerly was able to split defenders a few times and pressure the QB. His explosion off the ball is what has helped him in those situations. It’s not always a consistent speed, but he always plays with a high motor. Zimmerly helped force a fumble early in the game and it led to a turnover. Zimmerly is a 2-star recruit that has garnered some attention. He has a few offers to some smaller schools in Toledo such as Toledo, but he’s probably looking for a big-time offer.
Ayan Comedy – St. Francis – CB – 5’10″ 175 lbs
Comedy is able to use his length to help impact plays. On Friday, he was able to do just that. He was constantly in the face of the receiver and keeping his hands on them. It was never enough to get a penalty, but enough to annoy them and let them know he was on their hip. He broke up 2 passes and then tipped one that should have been intercepted. Just because the ball didn’t get picked, doesn’t mean Comedy’s rep should go unnoticed. He was on lockdown all night and rarely made an error. He looked fantastic from a fundamentals point of view.
Colbyn Daniel – Clyde – TE/DE – 6’6″ 220 lbs
Daniel is a big boy and has great reachability. He’s long and has what seems to be longer arms. He’s able to get pressure in the face of the quarterback on almost every rep. He plays with the same speed all the time and never slows down. Friday he was able to do just that. He got pressure, was consistent, and even had a sack. He had a few tackles for loss and was able to disrupt the game on a constant level at the line of scrimmage.
Cole Anderson – Ottawa Hills – SS – 6’2″ 180 lbs
Anderson was able to be consistent on Friday. In years prior, he had shown flash but it was on and off. Friday was the first time he showed great consistency. Anderson was in the backend calling out everything and flying to the ball. He was tackling with proper form, coming to balance, and making the play. It was nothing special, but it was consistent and came with a thud. The junior already has some eyes on him. Being that long, yet that fast and playing safety is rare. If he can land in the right college program he could become a special player.
