1. Mater Dei
The Monarchs have a lot of star power returning from its Trinity League championship team in the spring. [player_tooltip player_id="147708" first="Elijah" last="Brown"] will make a leap at quarterback and the defense is elite. [player_tooltip player_id="141893" first="Jacob" last="Kongaika"], [player_tooltip player_id="25279" first="Eoghan" last="Kerry"], [player_tooltip player_id="25447" first="Levi" last="Sua"], [player_tooltip player_id="25234" first="David" last="Bailey"] and [player_tooltip player_id="25223" first="Domani" last="Jackson"] are all five of the best 10 defensive players in the county.
2. Servite
That loaded 2022 class are finally seniors and it’s their time to shine. [player_tooltip player_id="25286" first="Noah" last="Fifita"] and [player_tooltip player_id="25227" first="Tetairoa" last="McMillan"] are the best QB/WR combo in the state. The defense is full of quality starters who don’t get as much recruiting attention as they should. [player_tooltip player_id="141891" first="Mason" last="Graham"] is one of the best defensive lineman in the state and [player_tooltip player_id="143131" first="Jacob" last="Manu"] is a sideline-to-sideline linebacker.
3. Los Alamitos
So many talented players at the skill positions. Oklahoma commits [player_tooltip player_id="25419" first="Malachi" last="Nelson"] and [player_tooltip player_id="25398" first="Makai" last="Lemon"] speak for themselves but [player_tooltip player_id="145234" first="Gavin" last="Porch"], [player_tooltip player_id="145170" first="Ethan" last="O’Connor"] and Brian Jurado are outstanding as well. They have enough talent on the lines with [player_tooltip player_id="141956" first="Adam" last="Tomczyk"] and [player_tooltip player_id="141963" first="David" last="Main"].
4. Mission Viejo
Most of their offense is returning led by junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="25441" first="Kadin" last="Semonza"] and receiver [player_tooltip player_id="25408" first="Mikey" last="Matthews"]. Jackson Holman will be the number two receiver and he is more than capable. Defensively Ruben Lopez leads the way. The Diablos have a tough schedule with Servite and Long Beach Poly on their nonleague slate.
5. Santa Margarita
The Eagles brought in some quality transfers like Gage Grant (Tustin), Isreal Solomon (Mission Viejo), Nick Gallegos (Orange Lutheran) and [player_tooltip player_id="25428" first="Jaxon" last="Potter"] (JSerra). Niko Lopez and [player_tooltip player_id="146522" first="Jalen" last="Jones"] lead the receiving corps and top recruit [player_tooltip player_id="141878" first="Hero" last="Kanu"] leads the defense. [player_tooltip player_id="143134" first="Kilian" last="O’Connor"] is one of the best offensive linemen in the county.
6. Edison
The Chargers have a solid mix of returners and new faces. [player_tooltip player_id="43679" first="Tyler" last="Gioia"] is expected to be the quarterback but keep an eye on Mater Dei transfer Parker Awad. [player_tooltip player_id="143118" first="Nico" last="Brown"] is a high-level receiver and Tyler Hampton lead the receiving corps. Defensively Peyton Gregory and Austin Grbic lead the defense.
7. San Clemente
Lachlan van Rosmalen is back at quarterback and has improved his timing and decision making. The Tritons have a really good junior class with guys like Blake Allen who is a defensive back and running back and All-League defensive back [player_tooltip player_id="168733" first="Brad" last="Gerken"].
8. La Habra
La Habra is always a top 10 team and I believe in their infrastructure. Justin Gil returns at quarterback after a nice spring season as a sophomore. The Highlanders have athletic skill guys like Braedon Simoneon and Jacob Apodaca.
9. San Juan Hills
The Stallions are led by three of the top receivers in the county: [player_tooltip player_id="141899" first="Braden" last="Pegan"], [player_tooltip player_id="143139" first="Cole" last="Monach"] and [player_tooltip player_id="100646" first="Elijah" last="Barclay"]. Colton Joseph will be the quarterback. Defensively the Stallions have Chase Schmidt and talented defensive end Jaden Williams.
10. Orange Lutheran
The Lancers lost a lot of guys to transfers but the new coaching staff knows how to win. [player_tooltip player_id="25295" first="Logan" last="Gonzalez"] is one of the better quarterbacks in the county. Bryce Brown-Johnson is another fun player to watch for the Lancers.
