1. Dj Allen Dj Allen 5'11" | 185 lbs | WR Gladewater | 2022 State TX (SR-WR) – Gladewater High School (Gladewater, TX) – TCU
2020-21 Season: 59 receptions, 1,316 receiving yards, 17 receiving touchdowns
Allen is amongst the highest wide receivers in the state. On top of his offer from TCU, he also has received offers from Arkansas, Baylor and USC, each of which he has visited. In total, he has received a total of 21 offers but decided to commit to the Horned Frogs on Friday, August 13. Allen has incredible speed and excellent route-running capabilities. His speed and agility allows him to turn a quick screen pass into a touchdown. He is dangerous running a post route or deep slant.
2. Caleb Douglas Caleb Douglas 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Hightower | 2022 State TX (SR-WR) – Hightower High School (Missouri City, TX) – USC
Douglas is also a high-ranking wide receiver, in the top 100 according to some publications, and he to has received his fair share of offers including from USC, Baylor, Virginia Tech, Colorado and Colorado State. However, Douglas committed to USC last Tuesday on August 10. Judging by his tape, Douglas has the athleticism and field awareness to make some difficult catches in traffic. He also has power and strength which makes him an excellent return man.
3. Joe Baker (SR-OL) – Southlake Carroll High School (Southlake, TX) – Kansas
Baker received a total of three offers, including his future school of Kansas. He also received offers from Colgate and Colorado State so far. Judging by the tape, Baker has the right amount of tenacity at the offensive line spot and is not afraid to charge right into the chest of a defensive lineman. He makes for excellent pass protection and for creating gaps for the run game.
4. Jordyn Tyson (SR-WR) – Allen High School (Allen, TX) – Colorado
2020-21 Season: 31 receptions, 446 receiving yards, 6 receiving touchdowns
Tyson committed to Colorado on Thursday, August 12, but has received a decent number of offers as well including Campbell, Colorado State, Incarnate Word and New Mexico. Tyson has the perfect height to assist him in making tough catches and despite his size, has great agility that can make him burst past defenders to get open for a touchdown catch. He is also an excellent route-runner in this regard.
5. Seth Martin (SR-OL) – Everman High School (Fort Worth, TX) – TCU
The second TCU commit on this list, Martin also received offers from Dartmouth, Furman, North Texas and Texas State. Martin has great size at 6-3 and 285 pounds which allows him to have great strength to pancake a lot of his opponents and great gaps for the run game. It is safe to say, Martin is an excellent offensive lineman to have for any team that likes to run the ball, and considering the game is becoming more mobile with mobile quarterbacks, TCU made a great choice in sending the offer.
