Team Preview: Lawrenceburg Tigers

The Lawrenceburg Tigers return an experienced team, capable of surprising many this year. They will have one of the state’s most outstanding offensive linemen in their ranks. Lawrenceburg also a feature a bevy of offensive playmakers, capable of putting up points. Today, we will evaluate the three prospects that the Lawrenceburg Tigers have in our prospect database. These three student-athletes will be huge contributors to Lawrenceburg’s success this season. Justifying his high ranking is the fact that Craig is committed to playing college football at Notre Dame. Craig plays right tackle, and his film shows just why there is such a high level of interest surrounding him. He plays with outstanding physicality and aggression, right from the moment the ball is snapped. Craig is very quick off the ball, and he goes right to work. He attacks the defender from a good low base, and he uses textbook arm extension and hand placement. Craig is dominant throughout the entire play. His highlight tape is filled with several instances of him completely pancaking his opponent. On top of being a premiere right tackle, Craig also excels at defensive end for the Tigers. Similar to when he is on the offensive side of the line, Craig gets a good jump off the ball. He has the quickness and power that edge rushers need in order to be successful. Patel is an outstanding route-runner. He is adept at knowing exactly where to be, and he understands the coverage that he is facing. Patel is very good at finding soft spots in zone defenses, and he can sit down in that window, making the throw easier on the quarterback. [player_tooltip player_id="175715" first="Dahya" last="Patel"] is very good after the catch as well. Upon completing the reception, he turns up field, and looks to create a big play. Patel has the crucial ability to break tackles, allowing him to pick up even more yardage. [player_tooltip player_id="175709" first="Garrett" last="Yoon"], 6’0, 180 pounds, Quarterback, Senior [player_tooltip player_id="175709" first="Garrett" last="Yoon"] is a tremendous dual-threat quarterback, who can find a way to provide a spark for the offense. Yoon has a good arm, and he makes good, accurate throws. Yoon puts great touch on his down field throws, dropping the ball right into the bread basket for the receiver. Yoon’s dual-threat ability requires the defense to be on its toes at all times. He runs the ball very well. On run-pass-option plays, Yoon makes the right read, and if he sees the defender commit, he can take off and create a big play. Yoon does very well on designed quarterback runs, and he is capable of making tacklers miss in the open field.
