QB: Bishop Davenport, 6’3″, 180, Sr
Anytime a high school quarterback accounts for over four thousand yards, it’s going to grab your attention. That’s exactly what Mr. Davenport did, totaling 4,180 yards and 43 touchdowns as a junior. Bishop has a live arm, exceptional accuracy on throws downfield, and overall terrific timing. He’s calm against the rush and willing to take a shot if it means hitting his target. This young man has a compact release and overall twitchy operation time.
Commitment: Utah State
RB: Myron Carter, 5’8″, 170, Sr
This is a shifty scat-back that can line up in the slot and provide value in the passing game. Myron shows phenomenal top-end speed and notable wiggle in space. His vision is spot on, and he will make you pay if you don’t set the edge from the get-go. Carter shows soft-hands in traffic and the ability to pick up tough yards between the tackles.
Commitment: New Mexico
DB: Dorian Friend Dorian Friend 5'9" | 160 lbs | DB Spring | 2022 State TX , 6’, 170, Sr
A talented man corner who can line up on the outside or in the slot. Friend displayed clean breaks and strong anticipation. He’s an intelligent player that knows when to overlap in zone coverage. His vertical leaping ability was evident all over his junior tape. Dorian is comfortable in a press coverage motor technique and uses his god-given speed to run stride for stride with any opposing wideout.
LB: Bra’lon Jones Bra’lon Jones 6'0" | 200 lbs | LB Spring | 2022 State TX , 6’, 210, Sr
A slippery stand-up outside linebacker that can add a ton of value as a pass rusher off the edge. Jones is physical at the point of attack and will deliver punishing blows on ball carriers. He plays with great ankle flexion and knee bend that allows him to deliver maximum force on his opponent. He closes ground increasingly well and can easily run with backs out of the backfield.
DL: Gerrod Henderson, 6’3″, 260, Sr
A strong-handed five technique that can beat you in a multitude of ways. Gerrod shows a great first step off the snap and will explode off the ball with a low pad level. His punch has some major pop and can help create instant knock-back on opposing tackles. He’s dominant against the run and rarely lets a ball carrier slip away once he has them in his grasp.
RB: Joey Fussell, 5’10″, 190, Sr
A blazer that can split the secondary and maneuver his way through traffic. Fussell easily runs through arm tackles and shows great balance after initial contact. He displayed loose hips in the open field and the ability to easily stop & start. Look for his role to expand this fall.
WR: Cadyn Bradley Cadyn Bradley 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Spring | 2022 State TX , 6’, 180, Sr
A serious redzone threat that can win his 1 on 1 matchups. Cadyn shows steady hands when contacted and was deadly in the intermediate passing game. This is a possession-type receiver that will haul in everything in sight and make his quarterback look good.
LB: Elijah Fields, 6’1″, 250, Jr
A hard-hitting transfer with fantastic burst and closing speed. Fields shows no issues fighting off blocks in the run game and will consistently be a disruptive force behind the line of scrimmage. He’s a fantastic addition to an already talented Lions defense.
