Thomas Bell, San Gorgonio, 2022
The senior had a huge game, rushing for 285 yards on just 13 carries with four touchdowns in San Gorgonio’s win over Bloomington. He also had two interceptions on defense. His performance was huge for the team considering they had to miss games in the spring due to lack of players. San Gorgonio will rely on Bell heavily again this Friday when it hosts Aliso Niguel.
[player_tooltip player_id="120793" first="Nova" last="Kebeli"], Portola, 2022
Kebeli was dominant in a win over Woodbridge. He has been the backbone of Portola’s program the past three seasons and it looks like he is on his way to being a league MVP once again this fall. He rushed for 256 yards and two touchdowns, including a 97-yard run. He showed breakaway speed that I hadn’t seen when I watched him last season and he is a guy deserving of more offers.

Edward Ramos, Pacifica, 2023
Pacifica is known for it’s dominant passing attack full of top recruits, but an unknown junior made a huge impact in the Mariners’ 48-14 win over Fullerton. Ramos rushed for 211 yards on 20 carries with four touchdowns in the revenge win for Pacifica. He is very undersized at 5-foot-4 and 150 pounds but he is speedy and runs hard. His ability to run the ball adds another layer to Pacifica’s already elite offense.

Dijon Stanley, Granada Hills Charter, 2023
Stanley picked up right where he left off in the spring as one of, if not the best running back in the LA City Section. He rushed for 217 yards on 19 carries with five touchdowns in Granada Hills Charter’s 40-8 win over Aleta. He is going to put up massive numbers all season and will be a frequent member of this list every week. He has offers from Colorado, Michigan and San Jose State.

[player_tooltip player_id="25345" first="Christian" last="Washington"], Helix, 2022
Washington was the most valuable player for Helix in its 28-20 win over Mira Mesa. He rushed for 202 yards on 27 carries with three touchdowns. His agility is off the charts and he simply makes tacklers miss. He looks bigger than his 190-pound frame and is one of the best running backs in San Diego. I think he is a Division 1 prospect and we will see if his recruitment picks up this fall and winter.
