The following group is compromised of seniors that have gone relatively unnoticed on the recruiting scene. Each prospect on this list put together outstanding junior campaigns and should be even better in 2021. Here’s who you need to know!
Shel Hudson, 5’11″, 170, Dripping Springs
A true center field type free safety with outstanding range on the backend. Shell does a phenomenal job reading the quarterback and tracking the football when it’s in the air. He’s a true sideline to sideline runner who always seems to be around the football. Hudson is steady in run support and shows no issues making tackles in the box.
Casey Elswick, 5’11″, 175, Churchill
This is a physical strong safety prospect that hits like a ton of bricks. Elswick easily fights off blocks in the run game and will come up & speed his feet on contact when making tackles in space. He’s relentless once he gets his hands on ball carriers and is a tough man to get away from. Casey shows steady ball skills in the passing game and a knack for making plays behind the line of scrimmage.
Deveon Moses Deveon Moses 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Pearland | 2022 State TX , 6’, 170, Pearland
A loose-hipped, instinctive cornerback that’s at his best playing out of a shuffle. Moss is an intelligent prospect that can easily overlap in coverage when identifying a number two receiver running up the seam. He shows impressive vertical leaping ability and soft hands when going up for the 50/50 ball. His breaks are consistently compact and stay within the framework of his body.
Jett Copeland, 6’, 170, Argyle
A reliable cornerback that plays fundamentally sound football for four quarters. Copeland does an excellent job of leaning and locating the football when it’s in the air. He’s rarely out of phase and will stay over the top of vertical routes in zone coverage. He showed the jets to run with speedy wideouts multiple times on his junior film. In fact, it was not uncommon to see him hawk down an opposing ball carrier that broke into the open field.
Jaivion Green, 6’3″, 185, Lamar
A lengthy safety that attacks the football at its highest point. Green does a good job diagnosing passing concepts and uses superb burst & acceleration to close ground quickly. He’s a natural at the gator tackle and has no issues making plays out on the perimeter. Jaivion is comfortable playing man out of a pedal and does a fine job not letting receivers break his cushion early.
