In a battle of cross town rivals this matchup had it all:  sold out crowd, lightning delay, back and forth action, and an OT win for the Berlin Bears.  Defensive standouts for both squads detailed below. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Berlin</strong></span> #44 <strong>Kyle Jackowski</strong> OLB (2023) - Kyle had a tremendous game with 9.5 tackles.  He is a sideline to sideline player and has a high motor.  He sets a good edge with technique and keeps his outside arm free routinely.  He is quick in his pass drops and plays with good technique.  He tackles well and runs his hips through the ball carriers. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/9172738/Connor-Gavin">https://www.hudl.com/profile/9172738/Connor-Gavin</a> <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Orange</strong></span> #9<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="186353" first="Rico" last="Franklin"]</strong> DE (2022) - Very impressive night on Friday.  He is very flexible in his stance and comes off the ball hard.  He has a quick first two steps and gets his hands on quickly.  Bends well down the LOS and plays blocks well.  He has a good rip move in his pass rush and points the toe back to the QB.  Looking forward to seeing his future.
