TOP DOG: Jordan Seaton Jordan Seaton 6'5" | 290 lbs | OL Bradenton IMG Academy | 2024 State FL | 6-6 | 290 | Interior Offensive Lineman | St. John’s College (DC)
The Maryland/DC 2024 recruiting class is strongest at the offensive lineman position. There are a few 2024 offensive linemen that could make an argument for top dawg status in the rankings. For now, St. John’s Jordan Seaton Jordan Seaton 6'5" | 290 lbs | OL Bradenton IMG Academy | 2024 State FL gets the nod. He is being recruited as an interior offensive linemen at the moment. Seaton passes the eye test with flying colors. The fact that he was able to play a few games last season certainly helped with his early recruitment. Seaton currently has offers from Boston College, Maryland, Michigan, Penn State. Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, Rutgers, and West Virginia. By the time it’s all said and done, he will be a 35-plus offer guy. That’s being conservative.
Seaton absolutely mauls defensive linemen in the run-game. He does a great jog of finishing off his blocks and putting defenders on their back. The size and strength are already there. Season is a young player, so there’s some things that he’ll improve upon in the upcoming years. Seaton can work on playing with more bend and leverage. His highlights are from April and he has improved since that time. It’ll be interesting to see if Seaton’s footwork has gotten quicker, if he’s develop a stiff pass punch with good arm extension, and if he’s able to consistently lateral slide to mirror anyone in front of him.
Seaton generates a lot of push as a drive blocker. His core strength has improved during the off-season. Seaton shows surprising quickness when he has to pull to make a block in the run game. Season bulldozes downs blocks. He gets into his pass sets early and shows good hand placement. Season has a consistent base width throughout pass sets. St. John’s running backs will see a lot of success this upcoming season on plays involving Seaton as the main blocker. He’s well on his way to becoming a national recruit if he isn’t one already.
