#2 Christian Logan CB Senior
Christian Logan played both ways offense and defense. Although, Christian made a more outstanding performance on offense he definitely made an impact on the defensive side as well. As a cornerback he was able to cover his man as a well as play a zone defense. He overwhelmed the Elsik offense and caught two interceptions using his wide receiver skillset.
#25 Jlesip Garcia MLB Junior
Jlesip Garcia was dedicated to playing middle linebacker. I could tell from watching him that he had eyes on the ball at all times. He didn’t make any unnecessary actions or movements and was excellent playmaker.
#14 Juwuan Levels LB Junior
Juwuan Levels was a quick and decisive linebacker. Juwuan was always there to get a hand on a jersey and help in the majority of the tackles. He also was able to get two out of the three interceptions.
#12 Jaylon Bihms DE, MLB Sophomore
I didn’t notice Jaylon Bihms until the 2nd half of the scrimmage. At 1st I noticed he was an adequate player very aggressive but nothing that caught my eye. Until, he started forcing his way through Elsik’s offensive line. Jaylon gave 100% every play and was aggressive for each of those plays. Jaylon caused and recovered a fumble. I really admire passionate and aggressive players like Jaylon he still has a lot of run to grow, but for being so young on varsity he’ll elevate vey quickly.
#21 Paul Smith Jr. OLB, MLB, DE Junior
I was impressed by the amount of versatility Paul Smith had by playing numerous of positions. It’s not too rare to see a linebacker play both middle and outside, but he also played defensive end as a lineman. Paul was a skilled linebacker he had exemplary footwork and reflexes. However, with Paul’s built and big frame he had a better outcome playing defensive end. He’s very aggressive and knows how to move pass or through the offensive line to get to the ball. I was not only impressed by Paul’s overwhelming size, but also by his quickness and technique which is necessary to be a great defensive end. Looking forward to seeing more of Paul’s progress.
