The Francis Howell jamboree was filled with talented athletes on both sides of the field. Four teams (Francis Howell, CBC, McCluer North, Ladue) scrimmaged for three rounds to prepare for the upcoming season. There were a lot of spectacular plays made by a lot of athletes. This jamboree was also a chance for the young guys to show what they were made of in front of their coaches for evaluation. Here are a couple of players that stood out at the Francis Howell jamboree.
<strong><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/08/IMG_5115-crop-3001x1971-1629527419.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-188284" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/08/IMG_5115-crop-3001x1971-1629527419-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a>RB [player_tooltip player_id="171841" first="Dylan" last="Van"] CBC c/o 23.</strong> Van is a very athletic kid. He’s one of the Cadets’ best skilled guys on the field. Van is fast, shifty in open field, and knows how to make people miss. His vision is extremely sharp and discipline when following his blocks and reading the defense.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> Van will have a breakout season this fall.</span>
<strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id="188583" first="Jude" last="James"] Francis Howell c/o 24.</strong> There’s nothing <a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/08/IMG_4964-crop-2341x1537-1629527515.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-188286 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/08/IMG_4964-crop-2341x1537-1629527515-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a>like a tall receiver that knows how to go up and get the ball. James is one of those guys who overpowers DBs and wins every one-on-one matchups. James made a couple great catches in the jamboree, making a picture perfect catch to start the scrimmage off right. James is also a great blocker when he’s not getting the ball. He will be one of the top receivers to watch this season.
<strong>DL [player_tooltip player_id="188584" first="Khalil" last="Douglas"] Ladue c/o 23.</strong> Douglas was able to blow past other teams’ offensive line the whole night. He had great pursuit and was in a couple tackles. The 5’11, 185 lbs junior showed strength and maximum effort no matter who was in his way. He has great patience off the line and flows to wherever the ball carrier is. Douglas is a player to watch this fall.
<strong><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/08/IMG_5162-crop-4148x2724-1629527621.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-188288" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/08/IMG_5162-crop-4148x2724-1629527621-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a>RB [player_tooltip player_id="188591" first="Daniel" last="Boyce"] McCluer North c/o 24.</strong> Boyce is a strong power back who knows how to maneuver through traffic. He is strong and is quick for his size. Boyce knows how to move in all directions and cuts up the field to gain extra yardage. Boyce is one of the power backs that teams do not want to sleep on.
<strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id="171848" first="Ayden" last="Robinson-Wayne"] CBC c/o 22.</strong> Wayne was one of [player_tooltip player_id="37608" first="Patrick" last="Heitert"]’s main targets in the jamboree. Wayne made some great catches in traffic, having good concentration when looking the ball in. Wayne is also <a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/08/IMG_5089-crop-3119x2048-1629527676.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-188290 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/08/IMG_5089-crop-3119x2048-1629527676-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a>very agile in open field, and he never gives up on a play. Wayne will be one of the players in the class of ’22 college coaches do not want to miss out on.
<strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id="188595" first="Hayden" last="Trezek"] Francis Howell c/o 22.</strong> Trezek performed at a high level in the jamboree. He scored two touchdowns back-to-back, one on a fade route, and the other on a slant. Trezek is a short, fast, and shifty receiver who plays with a chip on his shoulder. He will be a player to watch this season.

Lee has great speed as a running back. He runs hard and hits the hole without hesitation. He has great instincts and can maneuver through traffic extremely well. Lee had a lot of carries in the jamboree, and gained a lot of ground whenever he touched the ball.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>
