A respectable program in Roswell, the Knights are coming off one of their worst seasons in program history last season but are on the track to make a dramatic turnaround in the 2nd season under coach Sean O’Sullivan.
The Knights have an impressive offensive line, a loaded 2023 and 2024 class, and a promising defense ready to make their mark on the 2021 season. Here are a few Centennial Knights to know about going into the season…
Daniel Calhoun Daniel Calhoun 6'5" | 330 lbs | OL Walton | 2024 State GA – OL
Easily the biggest player and prospect on the team, Calhoun is a massive offensive lineman at 6-foot-6 340-pounds with all the potential in the world. He started the entire 2020 season as freshman and still put together a dominating season. He earned his first D1 offer from the Georgia Bulldogs in the summer of 2020 before he even took a snap at the high school level. He bends well for his size, he continues to grow as a player and can an incredible 84.5-inch wingspan. He’s big, long, and moves extremely well for his size. He has possible “5-star” written all over him in the 2024 class. He’s already one of the top offensive line prospects in the state and should be able to choose the school of his choosing when the time comes.
Johnsley Barbas – ATH
Arguably the top athlete on the team, The 6-foot-0 175-pounder in the 2023 class is expected to have a big season as a junior at defensive back but will get some time on offense as well. He currently holds two ACC offers from Louisville and Wake Forest, and will a big junior season, Barbas could see a lot more come his way. He’s athletic, strong, knows how to be physical, tackles properly, and is also the team’s punter. IF you’re looking for a playmaker for the Knights, Barbas is your guy.
Daniel Max – OL/DL
One of the toughest players in the team, Max is a veteran leader on the team and is expected to play on both sides of the line of scrimmage this year. He’l likely play at guard next two big tackle Daniel Calhoun Daniel Calhoun 6'5" | 330 lbs | OL Walton | 2024 State GA and then get reps at defensive tackle as well. He’s a multi-year starter and will look to lead a young team as far as he can this upcoming season.
Other players to know include….

Games to know in 2021…
In late September the Knights will take on rival Chattahoochee, a matchup between two schools in Roswell. Arguably one of the biggest games of the season, the Knights will have a big test here to see if they are capable of having a playoff caliber team. This should be an evenly matched game so it will be a big one for the young Knights.
River Ridge is coming off a monster 11-1 season last year and have a chance to repeat as state champions this fall. The River Ridge Knights have one of the state’s top returning running backs so the Centennial Knights will have to really play the run well if they want to pull the upset. This game will likely be Centennial’s toughest of the season.
Johns Creek:
Another tough up-and-coming team int he region, Johns Creek is one of the most talented teams in the region and have built a rivalry with Centennial over thee years. Johns Creek could have one of their better teams in recent memory this year and the Knights would love nothing more than to know them off in late October.
