It’s the start of July and we’re inching closer to a regular-season of high school football! Here are six Western Pa seniors to keep watch, who I think have potential of being Power 5 players.

Unfortunately, I never had a chance to see Taylor live in person at a camp, but I do believe he is a potential Power 5 player. He has the size and the speed. He is an average route runner with good ball skills. Taylor received his first offer late June. I am interested how he performs this season, and I am sure the in-state Power 5 schools will be watching him close.

[player_tooltip player_id="27565" first="Lorenzo" last="Jenkins"] I Wide Receiver I Blackhawk I 6’4 175
During the offseason, Jenkins transferred to Blackhawk from Fox Chapel. Though his stats did not stand out in his junior campaign, this kid is a really good player. He is a good route runner who is a natural hands catcher. Still surprised he only has one FBS offer. Very interested to see what he can do this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="27582" first="Devin" last="Barren"] I Defensive Back I Central Catholic I 6’1 180
Barren is a guy that impressed me at a camp. I was hoping to see him live again but that didn’t happen. He’s got some Group of 5 action going on, but I think he can be a Power 5 defensive back that can play corner or safety.

[player_tooltip player_id="69253" first="Jacob" last="Porter"] I Defensive End I North Allegheny I 6’3 210
Porter already holds a few FBS offers but has yet to receive a Power 5 offer. If he performs well this season expect that to change. He’s got the quickness and speed to get to the QB.

[player_tooltip player_id="91497" first="Jay" last="Pearson"] I Safety I Sto-Rox I 6’0 190
Pearson is a guy I believe can play at the FBS level. Good size with a thick body who has quickness and speed. High motor kid who is physical and shows to accelerate when tracking down the ball carrier. Pearson has a couple of FCS and D-II offers.

[player_tooltip player_id="27599" first="Liam" last="Halligan"] I Offensive Tackle I Seton Lasalle I 6’5 300
Halligan has the size you want. He has some athletic ability and looks good in pass protection. Halligan has potential of being a Power 5 player. He received his first FBS offer from Marshall on June 19th.
