Hard-hitting NE Ohio LBs

A hard-hitting  LB can be a game-changer for any defense. NE Ohio has a handful of these players. We’re taking a look at them and their upcoming season. Derell Bedingfield Jr - Benedictine - 6’2" 190 lbs Bedingfield may be light in the weight category but he makes up for it with his ability to read the field and make hits. He flies all over the field and is in almost every play. He’s listed as a 3-star recruit and has offers from Toledo, Air Force, and Akron. He’s leaning towards Toledo right now with his current offers. Nathanael Sulka - Chardon - 6’4" 202 lbs Sulka is the field general for Chardon. He’s all over the place and knows how to pack a punch too. He’s known for his forced fumbles. He’s probably caused a broken rib here or there too. He’s listed as a 3-star recruit and has an offer from Iowa State. He hasn’t committed yet but that’s where things seem to be headed for him. [player_tooltip player_id="138781" first="Matt" last="Rose"] - Brecksville-Broadview Heights - 6’2" 205 lbs Rose is also a very intelligent player. He plays fast and hard. He knows how to hit properly and make a player rethink some of his life’s decisions to that point. He’s always someone who can change a drive in a flash. He has a plethora of offers including Iowa State and Air Force. Iowa State keeps popping up in these LB’s offers. It’s clear they see the potential and want a slice of the pie. [player_tooltip player_id="91600" first="Tommy" last="Bebie"] - Rocky River - 6’1" 195 lbs Bebie is a smaller LB who may end up switching to S in college but that’s fine because he knows how to hit. He covers a ton of space in a hurry and is very smart. He’s great on and off the field. He’s a 3-star recruit and has offers from Wake Forest, Akron, and Charlotte. He’s heavily leaning towards Wake Forest right now with his recruitment. [player_tooltip player_id="34442" first="Mani" last="Powell"] - McKinley - 6’3" 225 lbs Powell may be the cream of the crop and the biggest LB prize in the area. I recently had a chance to meet him at a camp in Canton. He’s impressive and makes you smile. He’s well-built and is all football all the time. Coaches love him and everyone wants to coach him. He lit the camp up and some coaches there just couldn’t help but laugh because of how good this dude is. He’s ready to play college football right now. He’s got offers from every school in the area you could think of along with offers from Syracuse, Coastal Carolina, and Arkansas. It’s heavily believed he’s going to Arkansas. If that’s the case they’ve got a really good one.
