PRZR= Prep Red Zone Ranking, Overall/Position
Ryan Boyd, 6’0″ 180, WR, East St Louis, PRZR-6th/2nd
Ryan is an exceptional student-athlete with tremendous athletism at the wide receiver position. He has a quick first step off the line; his route running precision is remarkable. He has strong hands that catch everything in his area in traffic or not. He can jump through over the secondary on your 50/50 balls or more like 70/30 for Mr. Boyd. He will be a consistent target for 2024 QB Robert “Pops” Battle during their fall campaign.
Logan Lester, 6’3″ 200, WR, Kenwood, PRZR-10th/3rd
Logan has a D1 size for the position and still growing. He separates from the defender using his speed to break away, catching the ball in stride as if he is a natural at doing it. He grabs everything in his direction and has a high football IQ making small yardage plays into significant gains. He holds offers from Kansas, Nebraska, and Boston College, among others with more incoming over the coming year; keeps an eye on Mr. Lester.
Travis Jones, 6’3″ 230, ATH, Herscher, PRZR-66th/5th
Travis plays tight end and defensive end, and both of them are exceptionally well. When he plays defensive end, he stays square to the line, keeps separation following the ball, and does not give up any ground. PLaying TE, he blocks with purpose chopping his feet and benching the defender off the line. As for catching, he is catching the ball in his direction and making defenders pay who tackle incorrectly on the 2nd level. It is genuinely pleasing to see defensive linemen hold the line as he does.
Elijah Owens Elijah Owens 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Jacksonville | 2023 State IL ,6’2″ 200, QB, Jacksonville, PRZR-77th/7th
Elijah has good size for his height and weight for QB at his age that is still growing. He has a solid arm that can toss 50+ accurately. He has good accuracy on the run out of the pocket while finding an open target downfield. He has the speed and scrambling ability to make a big play to give him that dual-threat nod as well but does a good job not relying on his legs by stepping up in the pocket. He has a fast release, keeps the ball tight to the body over their top, and keeps his calm to lead the team.
Ethan Hinds, 6’2″ 190, WR, Williamsville, PRZR-82nd/13th
Ethan has the excellent route running abilities, and his yard after the catch is where he shines. When he gets into the open, he has giant strides coupled with his speed to take it the distance. He can catch the ball in traffic and take the hit in the middle of the field. He has a nose for the endzone and makes the 1st defender miss more often than not.
Fischer Davis, 5’10″ 160, WR, Mt. Vernon, PRZR-132nd/25th
Fischer runs a 4.46 has quick lightning reflexes that will leave the defender stuck. He is a state-qualifying high jumper, so he can jump through the roof with a 40” vertical. He catches everything thrown at him with finesse or effortless, if you will. His route running is solid, and he does an excellent job of not being pushed off the route. What stands out as well is his downfield blocking is highly efficient; he doesn’t take plays off as he has a high motor. He should be climbing this list in the fall after having his 1st ever entire football season.
Quincy Hall Jr., 6’0″ 150, WR, Mascoutah, PRZR-148th/28th
Quincy is a bit undersized for his weight but makes up for it with his precise route running, speed, and catching ability. He holds on to the ball through contact after the catch. He has that speed to get good separation off the line with no false steps and purposeful footwork to get behind the defense.
Anthony Lash, 5’9″ 160, WR, Mount Vernon, PRZR-154th/29th.
Anthony has excellent route-running ability breaking down at the top of the route with twitchy quick reflexes that gives him a solid cushion. He makes the defender work when tackling him anytime he has the ball. He blocks with a lot of pride and conviction, not letting up on the defender until he is on his back. As a sophomore, he is a speedster who fell .07 seconds short of qualifying for state in the 100m. After the fall season, Mr. Lash is climbing this list without a doubt, having the whole season to produce some big numbers and wins for his team.
John McGee John McGee 5'8" | 165 lbs | WR Flora | 2023 IL , 5’8″ 165, WR, Flora, PRZR-158th/30th
John is a speedy slot receiver that can do damage by running the ball around the edge. He has the nearly s[peed to get behind the defense as well. He has good vision carrying the ball in traffic, has solid hands, and has shown he can make the tough catches. He never comes off the field as he plays safety and kicker while maintaining a high motor, which is impressive.
Brent Wuebbels, 5’11″ 170, QB, Highland, PRZR-180th/28th
Brent is an intriguing dual-threat prospect that started for an excellent Highland Bulldogs team. By doing so, he was able to get his priceless experience in the spring, preparing him for the whole fall season. he read the option remarkably for his age and can score when he pulls it, leaving defenders in the backfield. He has the arm to make the throws on all three levels. He is climbing this list after the fall season with what he is cable of doing.
