Daeh McCullough – Bloomington South – S – 6’2″ 195 lbs
With the right coaching, McCullough is an NFL Safety. He’s got every tool in the shed you would want a player to have. He’s a fast, hard-hitting, punch you in the mouth, field covering, team leader. Everyone loves him and the energy he brings onto the field. He’s listed as a 4-star recruit with offers from Florida, Arizona State, IU, and Arkansas. It is believed however that he wants to stay close to home and attend IU.
Joshua Mickens Joshua Mickens 6'5" | 230 lbs | DL Lawrence Central | 2023 State IN – Lawrence Central – Edge – 6’4″ 225 lbs
Mickens is a very long Edge who is playing the right position. He won’t need to be moved to Edge like some players and then be behind. He will be ready to go when he gets to college. He bends well and plays with great pad height. He’s listed with 4-stars and is being offered from every local Indiana team along with schools like Iowa State and Miami (OH).
Luke Burgess – New Palestine – OT – 6’8″ 270 lbs
Burgess is someone I’ve already seen play live. I’ve got a great relationship with the HC in New Pal. Burgess impresses with his size and the way he carries himself on and off the field. He a set and forget LT at the next level. He could put some weight on but other than that he won’t need much. He’s listed at 3-stars and has offers from Boston College, Arizona State, and IU.
Tyrone Lofton Tyrone Lofton 6'2" | 230 lbs | DL Pike | 2023 State IN – Pike – Edge – 6’3″ 226 lbs
Lofton is a ton of fun to watch. He has a nonstop motor and won’t give up on any play. He’s well-built for his frame. He’s lengthy and can make tackles that leave you wondering how on Earth he actually made the play. The 3-star’s only offer is from Cincinnati. I expect that to change drastically with a good year. He’s someone that as he enters his Junior year will have more eyes on him and the offers will follow right behind.
Joe Walker Joe Walker 6'5" | 215 lbs | WR Warren Central | 2023 State IN – Warren Central – WR – 6’5″ 200 lbs
Walker is a Possession WR that you can force-feed an offense through. He’s got a tough mentality and the way he plays on the field. He knows how to use his body to rebound a catch like in basketball. He’s listed as a 3-star recruit and his only offer as of now is from Purdue. His offers will come with another great year. The thing to note about his offer is that it comes from Purdue where there is currently another very similar player to Walker. The player I’m referring to is future 1st round draft pick David Bell. It’s very likely Purdue wants Walker to follow the footsteps of Bell and that’s probably why they got into the race so early with Walker.
