We’re still in camp season, but it won’t be for much longer. Once August hits, teams can go into full practice mode to get ready for the 2021 season. For the next week or so there will still be some camps going on across the state, and one of the final camps will be held at North Forsyth High School.

Here are a few teams and their top players who plan to participate in the camp...

Collins Hill

Arguably the top 7A team in the state heading into the season, the Collins Hill Eagles have some of the top offensive weapons in the country. The Eagles have a returning QB on the roster in [player_tooltip player_id="33893" first="Sam" last="Horn"], a big-armed gunslinger committed to Missouri. He’s a high four-star prospect and is expected to be one of the state’s leading passers this season.
Collins Hill is also home to elite five-star prospect, [player_tooltip player_id="33861" first="Travis" last="Hunter"]. The playmaking WR/DB could be the best in the state at either position, but Prep Redzone feels he will likely start out at DB at Florida State down the road. He’s the best player in the country and he should be able to do whatever he wants at this camp and throughout the fall during his senior season.

Milton

Another impressive 7A program looking for a state title run, the Eagles will be led on offense by Virginia Tech commit [player_tooltip player_id="33991" first="Devin" last="Farrell"]. The dynamic dual-threat QB has a quick release and his arm continues to improve. He’ll have plenty of weapons to throw too at the camp including Michigan State TE commit [player_tooltip player_id="33880" first="Jack" last="Nickel"] and rising sophomore wideout [player_tooltip player_id="137437" first="Debron" last="Gatling"].
Defensively, the Eagles will be led by elite 2023 defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="71313" first="Lebbeus" last="Overton"], 2023 defensive back [player_tooltip player_id="34033" first="Bryce" last="Thornton"], and many more.
Mill Creek:
2023 QB Hayden Clark will take the reigns this fall in hopes of leading Mill Creek back to a deep playoff run. They’re a respectable program with a lot of talent, along with one of the top defensive backs in the country, 2023 safety [player_tooltip player_id="34015" first="Caleb" last="Downs"].

Dawson County:

The big player to know at Dawson County is [player_tooltip player_id="145593" first="Jaden" last="Gibson"]. The two-sport star from Dawsonville is coming off an outstanding sophomore season where he totaled over 1,110 yards and 11 TDs in 10 games. The 6-foot-2 175-pounder can play just about every skill position on offense, but really shines last season as a wide-out. He showed impressive speed for his size and the ability to go up and make a tough grab over a defender. He has reliable hands, and he knows how to take off and pick up extra yards after the catch. He showed good burst and playmaking ability for a sophomore. He now has experience making big plays at the varsity level and should have another big season for the Tigers this fall.

Other teams competing in the camp include, Sprayberry, Sequoyah, Tucker, Jackson County, and South West Dekalb.
