The roster at Pulaski Academy is an extremely talented one to examine. The Bruins have talent all over the field. We are going to look at some of the guys that the Bruins are going to count on this season to help them have a deep playoff appearance. Pulaski Academy is talented on both sides of the ball, and it is a group that could easily contend for another state championship.
[player_tooltip player_id="132961" first="Mason" last="Schueck"]-Athlete/Linebacker-2022
Over the past few years, Schueck has been one of the most versatile players in the state of Arkansas. Schueck has played on the offensive line the past few seasons and this season will be holding down the linebacker spot for the Bruins. He has terrific speed and that is going to serve him well in filling the gaps and rushing the passer. Schueck has All-Conference honors the past two seasons on the offensive side of the ball and is looking to continue his high level of play this season.
[player_tooltip player_id="168255" first="Charlie" last="Fiser"]-Quarterback-2022
On the offensive side of the ball, Fiser throws an extremely accurate football. What impresses me the most is that Fiser does an excellent job of being able to throw the football while on the run. Fiser is not afraid to use his legs to pick up a needed first down. However, Fiser uses his arm well, throwing for 2,761 yards, 38 touchdowns, and only 12 interceptions. Fiser has the potential to have a strong 2021 season and should lead Pulaski Academy to a deep playoff run with an excellent chance of a state title appearance.
[player_tooltip player_id="75067" first="Joe" last="Himon"]-Running Back-2022
[player_tooltip player_id="75067" first="Joe" last="Himon"] is one of the most productive running backs in the state of Arkansas. The Pulaski Academy running back is an extremely versatile player. Last season, Himon was terrific for the Bruins. He racked up 2,993 yards of total offense and 31 total touchdowns. Himon is a threat to take it the distance from anywhere on the field and he forces the defense to account for him in the passing game. Himon should have another strong season and put up some impressive numbers in the process.
[player_tooltip player_id="141128" first="Vaughn" last="Seelicke"]-Kicker-2022
The school that has made the best use of the kicker position in the state of Arkansas is Pulaski Academy. Seelicke is a very accurate field goal kicker. He has good range and can make all the kicks that are ask of him. Where Pulaski Academy has used him as an effective weapon over the years is kicking onside kicks. The Bruins have made recovering the kicks and keeping the offense on the field a weapon and that is a trend that will likely continue. Look for Seelicke to have a strong year from a kicking perspective.
[player_tooltip player_id="165832" first="Charlie" last="Barker"]-Wide Receiver-2022
[player_tooltip player_id="165832" first="Charlie" last="Barker"] is the kind of wide receiver that has the talent to make tough receptions look extremely easy to haul in for a catch. He does an impressive job of creating separation through his route running. Barker has good speed, and he will cause plenty of headaches for opposing defensive coordinators this season. Barker has earned a scholarship offer from Hendrix College and the potential is there for him to pick up some more offers as the season approaches.
[player_tooltip player_id="153937" first="Jaylin" last="McKinney"]-Wide Receiver-2023
Pulaski Academy has plenty of talented wide receivers that the opposing defense must account for in 2021. McKinney is a player that is a matchup nightmare. He can use his spend athletic ability to make life difficult for opposing defensive backs. McKinney has the hands needed to haul in difficult receptions. He is going to be giving opposing defenses headaches for the next two years.
Anthony Lucas was a great choice to take the reigns at Pulaski Academy. He knows what the expectations are at Pulaski Academy. Lucas has played the game an extremely high level and he has coached for the Bruins since 2012. Opposing fans may have gotten excited when Kelley departed from Pulaski Academy, those fans may want to tone it down. Pulaski Academy has the talent on the field and walking the sidelines to continue to light up opposing defenses.
