2023 Receivers in the Houston Area to Watch

Like I have stated before, with so much talent within the Houston area, it is very easy to have players overlooked how are extremely talented. This list is meant to shed light on some of those players who show much skill on the field and those who have contributed or will very soon get the opportunity to contribute to their teams success. By no means is this the final list. We are discovering new players everyday and their time is coming soon! David Amador - North Shore Amador is a deep ball threat who shows off incredibly strong hands on his catches. Listed at 6'1. Amador plays much bigger. He shows great concentration on 50/50 balls and is unbothered by contact. Amador high points the ball to make contested catches and shows very good athleticism. He has very good drive and burst out of his stance, usually beating the opposing defensive backs within the first few yards and leaving them behind on his way to a big momentum gaining play. Amador shows to be a reliable target for his quarterback with consistent hands. As of now, Amador holds one offer, but with skills such as his, it will only be a matter of time until his name is mentioned all over the state. Jarred Sample - Cy Ranch Sample is a playmaker whenever the ball is in his possession. He is a shifty, versatile player who will line up at different positions, but is a threat to break one at any time! Sample shows great speed and quickness out of the slot as well as out of the backfield. He finishes off runs with very good strength and displays great physicality with his blocks to open up running lanes for his teammates. Sample is a mismatch on the field wherever he is positioned. He is an incredible talent who brings much value to the Cy Ranch offense. Sample holds one offer with many more in his future. Expect him to make some noise early for this upcoming season. Ethan Wyatt - Klein Collins Wyatt is a long receiver with a tremendous skill set. He has breakaway speed with strong hands and possesses the size and athleticism to out jump any and everybody for the ball. Wyatt shows shiftiness and the ability to make defenders miss on runs after the catch. His long strides make it difficult for defenders to keep up with him on deep routes. Wyatt runs his routes very well and is deadly on the double move. He also possesses an incredible catch radius, displaying the ability to pull in passes that seem out of reach on the regular. Wyatt is another player who will draw much more attention from his play and who we will see rake in many more offers as his name continues to spread around. Jax Medica - Fulshear Medica is a well rounded receiver who shows the ability to run precise routes at all three levels. He shows very good strength on contested catches and very good hands to go with it. Medica displays great concentration on his catches and shows much pride in his blocking, being very physical with every chance he gets. Medica is a player who provides a major spark to the offense. He is a playmaker with the ball as well as a reliable target and safety valve for his quarterback. Medica has an extremely bright future and expect him to show out even more this upcoming season. Terrence (TJ) Rone Jr. - Lamar Rone Jr. is a flat out ball player. He just simply makes plays and can score at anytime the ball touches his hands. From kick returns to receptions, or even runs out of the backfield, Rone Jr. is a threat to make a momentum changing play. His speed and quickness is tremendous. He shows excellent drive and explosion off of the snap and displays soft, reliable hands. In the slot, he makes it incredibly difficult for defenders to stay with him. Rone Jr. shows the ability to change direction in a flash. His talent cannot be ignored, expect his name to be talked about much more heading into the season and get the popcorn ready for when he steps on the field.
