2021 Preseason All-Appleton Team

For the past year and then some I’ve began to notice that the beautiful city of Appleton had begun to accrue a ton of gridiron talent leading up to the 2022 season. After this past football season concluded and we saw the likes of [player_tooltip player_id="30743" first="Mac" last="Strand"], [player_tooltip player_id="30996" first="Mario" last="Mendoza"], [player_tooltip player_id="31000" first="Brock" last="Ward"], and Seth Voeller graduate from their respective high schools I wanted to take a deeper dive into the returning prospects of Appleton in preparation for the 2021-22 season and today is finally the day I got it done. I watched as much tape as I could from the Hudl’s of the five high schools in Appleton and put together my 2021 Preseason All-Appleton Team on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Before we get into things I wanted to first note that this team was created through the use of each high school’s Hudl, and although I watched a ton of tape there just wasn’t enough solidified returners on film to put together a complete first and second team for every position group. However, there was still a ton of talent, so I decided that instead of trying to stretch and name prospects to the team that maybe didn’t deserve it I would keep the teams short and only name studs to the list. That means that there may only be one or two players per position, but in my mind that shows the distinction means a little bit more.
