Offensive Spotlight
Paxton Page Paxton Page 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Ferris | 2022 State WA , QB, 6’2″ 190lbs, Ferris ’22
Page did a solid job for Ferris and showcased good potential during the course of a short COVID season. He displays a solid pre-snap and does a great job identifying favorable matchups, especially on the outsides in man-coverage. Page connected numerous times throughout his film to his X/Z on vertical routes. He shows good poise in the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield, and has a “pass first” mentality. He does a good job getting the ball out quick when he needs to on short route concepts (hitch, slant, outs, etc..), but defenses should not underestimated his feet. He’s shown escape artist ability to evade pressure and extend plays to often find receivers downfield. He could limit some risky throws when he extends plays, but overall is a playmaker behind center. He’s shown the ability to pick up yards on his feet as well in both designed runs or broken plays, and possesses deceptive speed. Page is progressing nicely as he’s attended a handful of camps this summer including the Elite 11 in Los Angeles, and holds an offer from Montana Western.

Defensive Spotlight
Efren Hurtado, DL, 5’11” 195lbs, Prosser ’24
Hurtado showcased some good potential during his freshman season, and should be a 2024 prospect to take note of. He still has a ton of room to grow and develop, but he is a talented young player and should continue to mature into a threat for Prosser in the upcoming years. He holds solid position versatility as he was utilized along the DL and OL, yet depending on how he grows, he could possibly even transition to a LB. He flashes violent hands against bigger offensive linemen which should be a major tool for him to build off of. He disengages from blocks fairly well at his age and shows solid hustle, as he flows lateral to the ball and aids in plays away from him. An area for him to focus on is to improve his explosiveness through the hips and add functional strength. Hurtado has attended multiple camps this summer where he looks like he is progressing well, flashing a nice spin move at the Eastern Washington camp. He seems like a coachable kid, and is also part of the wrestling team and the track and field team.
