Some players are going to as many as 10 plus college camps in as few as fifteen days, that may seem extreme, but this is the new normal in 2021; get with the program. Here are a few players who are gaining momentum this summer from across the state.
Mani Powell – Linebacker – 2023
Canton McKinley
6’3 – 225lbs
- Powell Offseason started hot back in February when he picked up his first offer from Liberty. Fast forward to June, Mani holds over 10 offers and his latest pick-up was the University of Michigan. Mani has made a name for himself by proving his worth at multiple camps this summer and earning offers off of that performance.
Grant Zimmerly – OL – 2023
Perrysburg
6’5 – 265lbs
- Zimmerly will be a household name in the NW Ohio football community. Still a raw prospect but has good size, aggression, and speed to be a big-time recruit. Grant holds one Division 1 offer currently from Bowling Green State University. Look for him to gain more momentum during the season.
Noah Geselbracht – QB – 2022
Cincinnati Moeller
6’6 – 210lbs
- Noah has fined tuned his game since the end of his junior season. You can see the improvements in his throwing motion, and his added muscle shows in the velocity of his passes. Noah earned his first D2 offer from Ohio Dominican University at their one-day camp. Expect to see a turnaround at Moeller this fall with Noah at the helm.
Roman Pearson – ATH – 2022
Pickerington Central
6’2 185lbs
- Roman is one of those sure to tackle defenders in the secondary. With that being said, he will be solid safety at the next level, and if he gains weight, he could be a hybrid box player. In addition, Pearson’s great instincts for football help him make “late” plays because he never gives up on the ball. Roman holds several HBCU offers, and his most recent offer came from Central State University.
