Standouts: Manny Diaz Football Camp (Part 2)

I headed down to <strong>Coral Gables </strong>to take in the Manny Diaz Football Camp at the <strong>University of Miami. </strong>The individual camp showcased nearly 250 prospects across various positions. I will say that I was impressed with the organization and structure of the camp. The <strong>Greentree</strong> practice field is open and provides plenty of room to spread out prospects by position. Here are some additional observations... <strong>Lardarius Webb Jr.</strong> - J<em>ackson Academy (MS)/Jones CC</em> 2021 Lardarius Webb Jr. ran the fastest time of the camp with a 4.34 40-yard dash. He followed that up with a 4.4 40 during his second attempt. The 5-foot-9 cornerback made over 50 tackles and at least six pass break ups for Jackson Academy last season. Moreover, Webb Jr. made a house call with a 81-yard kickoff return and caught a 40-yard touchdown pass against <strong>Jackson Prep</strong> in the 6A semifinals. The 3-star recruit clearly has the speed and elusiveness to be a jack of all trades. I trust him in open space to lock down his assignment or make plays in special teams. Webb Jr. decommited from <strong>Nebraska</strong> back in November. He is the son of former Baltimore Ravens safety <strong>Lardarius Webb Sr.</strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128643" first="Nathan" last="Guinn"]</strong> - <em>Vero Beach </em> 2023 [player_tooltip player_id="128643" first="Nathan" last="Guinn"] is a name to remember out of Vero Beach High School. The 6-foot-5 1/4, 214-pound defensive end ran a 4.65/4.62 40 on both of his attempts. In addition, Guinn has a 78-inch wingspan. He brings size, length and elite athleticism coming off the edge. Moreover, Guinn can use his long reach to deflect and bat down passes at the line of scrimmage.  If you can't get to the ball, the next best thing for a defensive end guy is too create a dead ball situation. Look for Guinn to pack on more weight and be a disruptor for years to come. <strong>Jaiden Giovenco</strong> - <em>Tampa Catholic</em> 2022 Jaiden Giovenco is a polished looking prospect out of Tampa Catholic. The 6-foot-5, 315-pound offensive guard has the mass to be a successful run blocker at the college level. Giovenco plays with an edge and will finish his block to the whistle. He will create massive holes with his leverage and technique. Giovenco is an excellent student with a 3.29 GPA. He has been offered by <strong>FIU</strong> and <strong>FAU</strong>. Check out his highlights by clicking <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/13089593/Jaiden-Giovenco">here</a>. <strong>Eddy Pierre-Louis</strong> - <em>Tampa Catholic</em> 2024 Eddy Pierre-Louis is a two-way superstar lineman for the Crusaders. At 6-foot-4 and 305 pounds, he is an absolute unit in the trenches. Pierre-Louis has a strong upper body and is quick out of his offensive stance. He appears stout when defenders try to bull rush him while showing good hand placement. It also probably helps to have familiarity playing on both sides of the line. Pierre-Louis can play one step ahead of his matchup and use his instincts to create an advantage. He has been offered by <strong>Arkansas State</strong>, <strong>Florida</strong>, <strong>Florida State</strong>, <strong>FAU</strong>, <strong>Georgia</strong>, <strong>Kentucky</strong>, <strong>UCF</strong>, <strong>Western Kentucky</strong>, <strong>Penn State</strong>, <strong>Syracuse</strong> and <strong>West Virginia</strong>. You can check out his highlights by clicking <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/14497095/Eddy-PierreLouis">here</a>. <strong>Vilay Nakkoun</strong> - <em>Orlando Christian Prep</em> I liked what I saw coming from 2023 Vilay Nakkoun during passing drills. The 6-foot-1 quarterback fired the ball out quickly and has a strong arm. I didn’t see wasted motion or hesitation coming from him. On tape, Nakkoun has mobility to allude rushers and makes accurate throws on the run. The dual-threat QB rushed for 349 yards and scored 11 touchdowns last season. As a passer, Nakkoun threw for 920 yards and nine touchdowns to three interceptions for the Warriors.
