There were over 8 teams that participated and many talented players that showed out. Here are some athletes that performed at a high level on Saturday:
QB Carlos Turner Lift for Life c/o 22. So far, Turner has led the Redhawks offense in every rep during 7v7’s and camps. He threw 11 Td’s and led his team to third place at the SLUH 7v7 tournament, and he contributed to the 82 points the Redhawks scored at the Mizzou camp the day before. Turner has a great arm with accuracy, and has great patience in the pocket. He also has great mobility and has tremendous instincts towards defensive schemes. Him and the Redhawks’ offense will be a problem this fall.

DB Andre Tucker SLUH c/o 22. Tucker came in clutch in the championship match on Saturday against St. Mary’s. He had a late interception that sealed the tournament. Tucker has great coverage and ball hawk skills. The Jr. Bills will use him a lot in the secondary this fall, and he will have many college coaches focusing on him.
QB Malious Cain Vashon c/o 23. The Wolverines was another team to look at during the 7v7 tournament. Cain was one of those players that the defense had to look out for. He dropped dime after dime and was extremely accurate in every throw. Cain also knows how to read defenses fairly well. This is one quarterback that doesn’t get talked about a lot, and this fall, he will be one of those players that will be on college scouts’ radars.
WR Javante Chandler Vashon c/o 23. Not only the Wolverines have a great quarterback, they also have a highly athletic receiver as well. Chandler is a very fast and talented receiver who is a sharp route runner and can catch really well. He can catch passes in traffic, and he can out run defensive backs when running up field. Chandler contributed a lot towards the Wolverines’ offense during the 7v7 tournament by scoring half of their points. He will be one of the top receivers to watch in the state of Missouri this fall.
QB Caron Spann St. Mary’s c/o 22. The Dragons’ offense was hard to beat, for Spann was another quarterback who was dropping dimes in the tournament. He’s also one of the top quarterbacks in the state. He never misses his target and he knows how to read the field perfectly. Although the Dragons lost in the championship against SLUH, Spann had the Jr. Bills on their toes the whole game. It’s going to be a scary sight when he leads the offense this fall.
WR Derrell Jones Lift for Life c/o 24. Jones is one receiver you can’t sleep on. Although he’s a sophomore, he can still hang with the big dogs. Jones is a technical route runner that knows how to blow past defensive backs. At the 7v7 tournament, defenders were having a tough time covering him on the field. Jones saw the end zone numerous times as well, and he’s one of Turner’s favorite targets to throw to.
