This analysis continues the Breakout Performance Series which attempts to assist local athletes in gaining traction in the recruitment process. It also serves as a resource for scouts and college programs nationwide. 2022 6’1 190 QB [player_tooltip player_id="134896" first="Wyatt" last="Hagan"] – St. John’s [player_tooltip player_id="134896" first="Wyatt" last="Hagan"] played this past Spring season like he had something to prove and there’s no doubt that he proved his point. Wyatt always keeps his Cadet team in the game no matter what, and that is incredibly impressive when you consider the stout WCAC competition and defenses that he is stacked up against every week. He also displayed his development by adding the ability to scramble for first downs to his game. If Wyatt can continue to improve his accuracy and arm strength, like he has been, then St. John’s will absolutely be competing for the WCAC title this upcoming season. 2022 5’9 160 WR [player_tooltip player_id="90622" first="Malachi" last="Baker"] – Archbishop Carroll [player_tooltip player_id="90622" first="Malachi" last="Baker"] has unmatched lateral quickness and incredible speed, which all stood out against elite competition this past Spring. Malachi even lined up in the backfield as both a running option and as a pure wildcat QB in certain situations. Offensively, there’s nothing Malachi cannot do and his game will translate very well at the next level. Archbishop Carroll consistently plays the best of the best so [player_tooltip player_id="90622" first="Malachi" last="Baker"] will one hundred percent have prime opportunities to showcase his development this Fall. Everyone should know the name [player_tooltip player_id="90622" first="Malachi" last="Baker"] come football season, and if you don’t by the beginning then you will by the end. 2022 6’5 310 OL [player_tooltip player_id="90569" first="Daniel" last="Corcino"] – St. Frances If you’re looking for a next level offensive lineman who is already elite then look no further than [player_tooltip player_id="90569" first="Daniel" last="Corcino"]. Daniel doesn’t just block his man, but he usually blocks multiple on a single play and he does so consistently. He demonstrated his quickness in a big way this past Spring as well which only further bolsters his elite status. St. Frances Academy will be coming back with a vengeance this Fall and if [player_tooltip player_id="90569" first="Daniel" last="Corcino"] continues to play like he has then they will easily make a run at another undefeated season. D1 scouts and programs everywhere should know the name [player_tooltip player_id="90569" first="Daniel" last="Corcino"]. 2022 6’0 180 RB [player_tooltip player_id="90599" first="Deangelo" last="Dickerson"] – Landon [player_tooltip player_id="90599" first="Deangelo" last="Dickerson"] is one of the best two way players in the state, but where he really shines is lining up in the backfield at running back. His size and power running make him extremely difficult to tackle at this level, and he accumulates the majority of his yards after contact. He is absolutely capable of breaking the line of scrimmage untouched and letting his speed loose, however, he is equally effective in short yardage situations. While Deangelo should be recruited as a running back, there’s no question that he is dynamic enough to play anywhere on the field at the next level. Watch out for [player_tooltip player_id="90599" first="Deangelo" last="Dickerson"] to have a massive breakout season this Fall. 2023 6’3 190 QB [player_tooltip player_id="90641" first="Cameron" last="Edge"] – DeMatha There are few quarterbacks in the state with as high of a ceiling as [player_tooltip player_id="90641" first="Cameron" last="Edge"] and this past Spring he showed exactly why that is. His arm strength is already off the charts and now he is getting elite game time experience to go along with it. Cameron’s ability to get the ball out of his hands quick is really what separates him from the pack at quarterback, especially when you combine it with his accuracy. It’s going to be nearly impossible to stop the DeMatha Stags’ offense with [player_tooltip player_id="90641" first="Cameron" last="Edge"] under center this upcoming season.
