We have highlighted the quarterback position, but there is so much talent all over Dallas at several different positions. From game-changing pass-rushers to sideline-to-sideline linebackers to lockdown corners, it is not difficult to find several impact players on the defensive side of the ball.
This article points to five Dallas-area defenders that are ready for the big time in 2021.

[player_tooltip player_id="60693" first="Omari" last="Abor"], DUNCANVILLE

Head coach Reginald Samples has done a terrific job of building the Duncanville football program into one of the elite in the state. The Panthers are competing for state titles and are constantly churning out talent to play on the collegiate level. That is certainly no different this year.
[player_tooltip player_id="60693" first="Omari" last="Abor"] is next in line at Duncanville. The 6-foot-4, 240-pound pass rusher is a physical specimen that immediately strikes fear into the offense. He has the special ability to get after the quarterback in a hurry while also being a force in run defense. That makes him one of the elite prospects in all of Texas for the 2021 class.

A basketball player, Abor possesses intriguing athleticism that makes his ceiling through the roof. Samples and company have done a great job of developing him, yet Abor still has a ton of untapped potential that has college coaches drooling.

[player_tooltip player_id="60690" first="Bryan" last="Allen"] JR, ALEDO

Similar to Duncanville, Aldeo is a top-tier program that produces high-level talent year in and year out. [player_tooltip player_id="60690" first="Bryan" last="Allen"] Jr is that player in the 2021 class, as the defensive back is currently committed to continue his playing career in Austin for the Longhorns.
Allen is a rangy defensive back that covers a lot of ground. He possesses both the speed and the insticis to make big plays in the back-end of the defense. Combined with a 11.27 100m on record, it is easy to see why Allen is a coveted prospect entering his final season on the high school level.

[player_tooltip player_id="60748" first="Dylan" last="Frazier"], MCKINNEY NORTH

The state of Texas typically produces a lot of talent along the defensive line, and that is more of the same this year. McKinney North’s [player_tooltip player_id="60748" first="Dylan" last="Frazier"] is a big, disruptive defensive lineman that has the ability to create havoc along the line of scrimmage.
Frazier has some experience playing on the offensive side of the ball at tight end, but his development has skyrocketed now that he is focusing on defense. His older brother, Brandon, actually plays tight end in the SEC at Auburn. The younger Frazier has all the tools -- 6-foot-5, 250-pound frame, a basketball background, and the toughness -- to succeed at a high level in the trenches.

ROBERT FITZGERALD, JESUIT

The second safety in this article is Dallas Jesuit defensive back Robert Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald is being recruited to stay in the defensive backfield on the next level, but he does just about everything for Jesuit. The rising senior lines up all over the field, including wildcat quarterback, wide receiver, and punt returner.
That says a lot about the kind of impact Fitzgerald has on the football field. Brandon Hickman’s staff at Jesuit obviously has a lot of trust in Fitzgerald. Giving him that much responsibility shows the level of confidence in Fitzgerald.
To his credit, Robert Fitzgerald makes them look smart. A high-IQ player, Fitzgerald is seemingly always in the right spot at the right time. It is almost as if he knows where the play is going before the offense even knows where the ball will go.

Fitzgerald is also an impressive athlete, as well. He owns a 4.54 40-yard dash and a 34-inch vertical jump. Duke and Vanderbilt are two programs that are after him hard, and it is very easy to see why.

[player_tooltip player_id="60771" first="Vincent" last="Paige"], DENTON GUYER

We are finishing this off by going back to the trenches. Denton Guyer’s [player_tooltip player_id="60771" first="Vincent" last="Paige"] is one of the most impressive defensive linemen in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Paige transferred over to Denton Guyer after playing his junior season at Nolan Catholic.
Paige is a little undersized for most EDGE rushers at 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, but he plays a lot bigger on the football field. He possesses an explosive first step that puts a lot of stress on offensive tackles attempting to protect their quarterback.

Additionally, Paige offers some upside in coverage, too. He has the athletic ability to matchup in the passing game, which makes him an intriguing defensive prospect. North Texas looks to have an underrated gem in the Guyer stud.
