Earlier this week, we took a look at the top quarterbacks in the Class of 2021 who are currently unsigned with any college team. As we saw in the previous article, there are elite playmakers still available. Today, we will evaluate four more such prospects. These student-athletes are great leaders and can energize an offense. All four are players who will be ready to come in to camp and compete.

[player_tooltip player_id="38966" first="Colton" last="Pence"] is a player who finds ways to make a play. Pence does well when he is under pressure. He can elude the rush and he knows when, and how, to escape the pocket. Pence has really good foot work. He is also able to make off-platform throws - something that is becoming more and more important for quarterbacks in today’s game. But he does have the impressive ability to set his feet after extending the play. This allows him to make an accurate and on-time throw. Pence has good arm strength. Receivers do not have to wait on the ball and he can hit them in stride, creating a big play.

[player_tooltip player_id="38992" first="James" last="Arnold"] is a big-arm quarterback who makes huge completions look easy. Arnold has great arm talent. He can connect well on the deep ball, but he also has great accuracy. His throws are always in a good spot for the receiver and it is extremely difficult for the defender to be able to make a play on the ball. Arnold does a good job extending plays. He moves around well and but he keeps his eyes down the field while doing so.

[player_tooltip player_id="38983" first="Maximus" last="Grimes"] is a very efficient quarterback. He does well running run-pass-option plays. He makes really good reads and puts the offense in good positions. Grimes is also a threat with his legs. He runs the ball effectively and gives the defense something extra to think about at all times. [player_tooltip player_id="38983" first="Maximus" last="Grimes"] is a very smart player and he could contribute greatly to any collegiate offense.
[player_tooltip player_id="39013" first="William" last="Grieser"], 6’1, 175 pounds, New Castle
[player_tooltip player_id="39013" first="William" last="Grieser"] has the kind of arm talent that any college coach should covet. He throws a great deep ball. Grieser can lead the receiver and his throws are always accurate. He can drop the ball right into the grasp of the receiver. When throwing to receivers underneath, [player_tooltip player_id="39013" first="William" last="Grieser"] can drive the ball to the receiver. [player_tooltip player_id="39013" first="William" last="Grieser"] has the type of talent that could help take an offense to the next level.
All four of these student-athletes have the ability to compete at the collegiate level. Each of these four possess tremendous talent. They also demonstrate the instincts necessary to play the quarterback position. These players can have a great impact on a college offense. College coaches looking for somebody who will come in and compete, should look no further than these four remarkable Indiana quarterbacks.
