Roster Breakdown: Malvern Prep

Malvern Prep is one of the best football prep programs in Pennsylvania. They continually produce talent to the next level. On a shortened season last year, they went undefeated going 4-0. We take a look at their 2021 roster. &nbsp; QB: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="141220" first="Jack" last="Capaldi"]</strong> 6’2 205; 2022 Jack has good size. He has a high tight quick release that has zip to the ball. He is athletic enough to escape the pocket. Looks to have a pretty good arm who is accurate and makes quick decisions. In 4 games he threw for 644 yards 3 touchdowns and zero interceptions. He completed 57% of his passes a minimum of 50 attempts. Jack really came onto the scene his junior year. He may have a big camp season and a big senior season. He is quick, not a complete blazer but does have speed. Shows pretty good vision. Lacks balance. Isaiah would be a good FCS running back. <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/10662176/5fb7fafdbd6ac704dc10df28" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> &nbsp; OL: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27572" first="Max" last="Bowman"]</strong> 6’7 300; 2022 Max transferred to Malvern Prep from West Chester East after last season. He’s got great size who is physical. No question Max will be the starting left tackle. <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/10704932/5fac2d1b041ddc0864fd410f" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> &nbsp; OL: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="95795" first="Coltin" last="Deery"]</strong> 6’4 275; 2022 He has good size. He is athletic, you will see him pull a lot on tape. He is also physical who is a finisher and drives his feet on contact. He does play high at times and shows to lunge at defenders. He shows good kick step in pass pro. Shows a decent punch. He doesn’t seem all the physical but willing to drive feet on contact. He shows a good first punch. Willing to drive feet on contact does struggle to stay on defenders but shows to be physical. Looks athletic. Though he does not have much film, he should be one of the top offensive linemen in PA in his class. He already has Virginia and Maryland offers. He shows good hip movement. Has good break and acceleration. He is a decent tackler, needs to improve. He has a few Group of 5 offers. His recruitment should go up if he attends camps this June.
