On defense, he was primarily used as a stand-up defensive end. He gets off the ball quickly, and because of his athleticism and speed, he can chase plays all over the field. His strength is impressive for a freshman, as he can rip through the bodies of offensive linemen. Next season, he should be able to make a seamless change to the linebacker position. On offense, he played as a tight end. He excelled as an excellent blocker. Brown has already picked up an offer from West Virginia. As a linebacker, he excels at reading the play, reacting quickly, and attacking upfield. His instincts on reading the play and triggering towards the offense are excellent. He is then a sure tackler, especially in the open field. Then, as a tight end, he shows a good ability to line up all over the field and block. Kumpon is also a good receiver. He is especially good at catching the ball in the open field and making defenders miss. He even ran the ball as a fullback. He is a good athlete at playing in space while on defense. His ability to see the play and fly around to make plays is impressive. He has elite speed. This allows him to close against offensive ball carriers and make tackles in the open field. He also shows a good ability to drop into coverage and take away passing lanes. He does an excellent job of reading his keys and attacking upfield. His ability to close and make tackles in or near the line of scrimmage is impressive. He shows good strength as well. His ability to take on blocks and keep his leverage is good. Dixon also showed a good ability to run sideline-to-sideline, making plays. His ability to make plays all over the field is impressive. He has a rare blend of athleticism and strength. He is an excellent tackler, especially in the open field. He also makes a ton of plays in the backfield against offenses, either by blitzing or making the right read and attacking upfield. Smith's athleticism is off the charts.
