We’re back with our second installment of the Risers and Under The Radar Prospects in IL’s C/O ’23.
Part 1 featured under the radar prospects who had productive spring seasons that caught us off guard. Part 2 will look at some of the 2023s I expected to have good seasons and have seen their stock rise over the last month.
So without further ado, let’s get to know six prospects whose stocks continue to rise as we head into the offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id="158019" first="Jailen" last="Duffie"] | ATH | Warren

Duffie is one of the more talented ’23 prospects in Lake County, if not the best. He’s a physical cornerback who’s disruptive and aggressive in press and does a great job of not lunging by utilizing his long arms and excellent hands to punch and strike the opposing receiver. Doesn’t hesitate to initiate the contact and routinely blows up blockers, enabling him to support the run. An overall superior athlete with the necessary ball skills, instincts, and speed to shadow a team’s No. 1 receiver.

[player_tooltip player_id="65877" first="Ryan" last="Sims"] | WR | Marist

Sims is a big receiver who is sneaky good after the catch— hence his 90-yard kickoff return that he took back to the house this season. As skilled as they come at the receiver position, has a knack for getting open and creates good separation with his superior route running. Uses his frame to box out smaller defensive backs and understands how to work back towards the football. Good size and physical traits allow him to effectively catch the ball in traffic and be a nightmare the red zone. Sure-handed as a catcher and is a willing blocker. This kid is going to be a real problem once he puts it all together.

[player_tooltip player_id="157734" first="Joshua" last="Robinson"] | RB | Montini Catholic

Robinson has a powerful build with a solid base that makes life difficult for solo tacklers. He’s a decisive runner with good vision who hits the hole with a purpose, and he’s more than capable of taking it the distance. He’s shifty for his size and has shown that he can be a creative runner when necessary. Finishes off runs with power and force and has good contact balance. Does a great job of running behind his pads and fighting for extra yards.

[player_tooltip player_id="119890" first="Boston" last="Bower"] | DL | Huntley

Bower’s versatility allows him to play multiple positions on the defensive line at a high level. He displays good strength that generates an early push to collapse the pocket. Excels at shedding blocks and takes good pursuit angles to track down ball carriers—a stout tackler who’s relentless in the pursuit of his target.

[player_tooltip player_id="118997" first="Grzegorz" last="Krupa"] | OL/ DL | Taft

Krupa is slowly but surely becoming one of the more talented offensive linemen in the class of 2023. He has a strong and balanced base and exceptional upper body strength—plays with a level of physicality that is often unmatched. He routinely finishes off blocks and intentionally drives his opponent to the ground whenever he gets the opportunity. His strike and shed is a thing of beauty and proves that he is fundamentally sound at an early age. Can play either guard or tackle and is equally impressive at both positions.
