Edon 2022 Offensive Guard Cassius Hulbert Cassius Hulbert 6'3" | 300 lbs | OL Edon | 2022 OH is a young man that I was looking forward to seeing at the Prep Redzone Showcase, but when rain postponed that even I would have to wait for that to happen. Well tonight’s the night. At 6’3 295 pounds, Hulbert already has the prototypical size and build of an guard at the college level. He can pass set, but I really like his upside as a run blocker. He’s a kid who plays to the whistle and loves to finish. Most of his offensive reps on his hudl film are at offensive tackle, and I’d like to see some reps of him at guard.
Easton Korody is a 2022 who plays offensive tackle for Carey high school. Karody is listed at 6’5 275 pounds. He has a lean frame that can be built upon. He’s a good athlete that moves well. The Blue Devils ran some zone stretch run where that athleticism is really shown off. I like him in college in an offense that is built off zone blocking. What I’d like to see is how he fares in pass blocking in more of a man scheme to see what kind of versatility he has.
Quarterback Tyler Tusai is a 2024 who’s on the rise. At 6’3 200 pounds Tusai has plus size, and has a ton of arm talent that’s just starting to be unlocked. I want to see his footwork and what kind of anticipation he throws with. Ball placement and arm strength are other traits I’m looking to evaluate.
Though only two years into his high school career Fremont Ross Kaden Holmes Kaden Holmes 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Fremont Ross | 2023 State OH has put up gaudy numbers in the Little Giants offense. That offense is one that is centered on timing and getting the ball out quickly. What I’m looking to see from Kaden is what kind of arm strength does he have? Can he open it up and stretch the field vertically?
The Kirtland Hornets are coming off of yet another State Championship. One of the main cogs in their offense was 2022 wide receiver Gage Sullivan Gage Sullivan 6'3" | 200 lbs | WR Kirtland | 2022 OH . He’s a long and athletic receiver who’s a competitor that makes plays. I just want to see what kind of separation Sullivan is able to get and what kind of small space quickness he has.
I highlighted Tyreece Lattimore of Dayton Stebbins yesterday. Today I’m highlighting wide receiver Adrian Norton Jr. who’s a 2023. One word describes Norton, and that’ s ATHLETE. If you go to Norton’s twitter page you’ll find a video of him on a basketball court throw an alley-oop bounce pass to himself where he catches the ball puts it between his legs and dunks it. At 6’1 it’s a very impressive feat to say the least. Adrian was used mostly in special teams as a Sophomore due to upperclassmen ahead of him at WR. What I want to see is not just the athleticism, but what kind of route runner is Norton? How does he use his athletic ability to get open? How does he catch the ball?
There’s a swath of talented 2023 wide receivers who will be competing: RJ Mukes, Shawn Gilbert, Bryson Hammer Bryson Hammer 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Fremont Ross | 2023 State OH , Ty Perkins, and Anthony Brown Anthony Brown 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Springfield | 2023 State OH are all guys that I’m interested in seeing.
Miamisburg 2023 running back Christian Davis Christian Davis 6'0" | 195 lbs | RB Miamisburg | 2023 State OH has P5 offers from the likes of Tennessee and West Virginia. He’s an athletic back with size and a great burst. He runs with vision. What I want to see with Christian is continued focus and ability to make plays catching the ball. This will make him a more versatile player that can be a 3 down back.
