Film Review of Top Prospects

Which is in its self an astronomical number that when I finally do have time to get around to going through and watching players film. I always seem to find some diamonds in the rough. Some guys that can really play and just do not have the spotlight at the moment for whatever reason. </span> <span style="font-size: 1rem; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">Well, I appreciate the players, high school coaches, and fans sending me film. I love uncovering new talent.</span> <span style="font-size: 1rem; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"> So in this article today. You will get a mixture of athletes playing different positions. So relax, enjoy, and here are some hidden gem prospects you should know about.</span> &nbsp; <strong>Jaden Anderson</strong> (22) | 6-4, 235 | DE / DT | West HS Jaden has good size and room to build more mass at the next level. I think he could make a could interior linemen who can make his way into the backfield and make plays. Has a good first step, which shows he can disengage blocks and play athletically. Possibly an FCS or Division II type of prospect with current tape. &nbsp; <strong>Oscar Nnanna</strong> (24) | 5-9, 165 |  WR/ ATH | Bridgeland Great things sometimes come in small packages. A freshman last year, Nnanna still has room to grow and add size to his frame. He is a dangerous receiver because of his blazing speed and agility. This guy can leave guys in the dust and shows good route running abilities. Quick in and out of his routes, I think they can use a little improvement but this athlete has a high ceiling and should be a great prospect. FBS level of an athlete upwards of around 20-30 offers or more when it all said and done for this Nnanna's high school career. &nbsp; <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2Erh7w">HUDL Film </a> &nbsp; <strong>Jacob Moran</strong> (22) | 6-3, 280 | OT / OL | Cypress Christian Jacob is an Offensive lineman that can move the pile backward and shows great strength. I like Jacob more as an interior lineman maybe playing guard or center. Right now he plays the left tackle position and does fairly well. I like his solid base, maintains good leverage, doesn't pop out of his stance when the ball is snapped and he is able to put defenders in the dirt. Could use some improvement in some areas. Overall, an FBS / FCS level of an athlete that could be a great addition to a college locker room. &nbsp; &nbsp; <strong>Derek Lagway</strong> (24) | 6-3, 200 | QB | Willis HS Derek is a three-sport athlete, Basketball, Baseball, and Football player. He has supreme talent and athleticism on all three. On the gridiron, DJ is a dangerous dual-threat QB who can light up the scoreboard. When he takes off with the ball, he is looking for six points, not a first down. Elite speed, arm strength, and accuracy for being so young. The baseball mechanics help his release, short and quick. Derek will be a one of the top QB's in his class. Look for stars to be added to his name in the near future. &nbsp; <strong>Kaden Watts</strong> (22) | 5-10, 180 | WR / DB | Brenham Kaden is a dangerous return man with adequate speed and agility. The senior DB can return kicks and take them to the house along with the best of them. He also shows he can play against the pass well. He can bait the QB with his eyes and undercut the ball. Definitely a DB to keep an eye on. Technique relative to his position could use improvement however, he could be a contributor at the next level. &nbsp; <strong>Roan Erwin</strong> (22) | 6-0, 210 | LB | Alamo Heights High A very impressive career year to date for Erwin, with 167 tackles, 13 TFLs, 7 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 pass break-ups. This linebacker can cover the field and take away run game and short passing game. He can fill gaps, take on blockers and make a play on the ball. His speed gives him the ability to cover the entire field when playing against the pass. He's able to knock off receivers off their routes and cover them well for a linebacker.
