8A District 11 QB’s to Watch Out for in 2021

<div id="contentsContainer" class="style-scope qowt-page"> <div id="contents" class="style-scope qowt-page"> <p id="E9" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span style="font-size: 18pt;"><strong><em><span id="E10" class="qowt-font1-Arial">W</span><span id="E11" class="qowt-font1-Arial">ith the 2021 season inching closer, I’m spotlighting quarterback prospects from every Classification/District/Region in Florida. </span><span id="E12" class="qowt-font1-Arial">Today</span><span id="E13" class="qowt-font1-Arial"> we look at prospects from 8A District 11. </span><span id="E14" class="qowt-font1-Arial">There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. He passed for 1269 yards, six touchdowns, and added 235 yards rushing, and 4 touchdowns on the ground.</span></p> <p id="E32" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E33" class="qowt-font1-Arial"><strong><em>Strengths:</em> </strong>Rhoden is a quarterback that does </span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">really good job running the zone-read, he has good short-area quickness and is able to elude defenders in tight quarters, compact throwing motion and shows good touch on deep throws, and does a really good job buying time with his feet. Last season he helped lead East Lake team to an 8-3 record and into the playoffs. He shared time with several other quarterbacks, he passed for 494 yards, two touchdowns, and added 129 yards rushing on the ground.</span></p> <p id="E57" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E58" class="qowt-font1-Arial"><strong><em>Strengths:</em></strong> he’s a quarterback that has very good size and athletic ability, shows the ability to throw </span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">on the run with accuracy on designed </span>roll outs<span style="font-size: 1rem;"> and does a good job keeping his eyes downfield. In a backup role last season he passed for 123 yards, one touchdown and completed 72% of his passes! His stock is rising, he participated in the Elite 11 regionals this offseason and was considered one of the top performers.</span></p> <p id="E82" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E83" class="qowt-font1-Arial"><strong><em>Strengths:</em></strong> prototype build and physical traits that you look for in a big-time quarterback prospect, possesses a quick release and easy throwing </span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">motion, has good arm strength and can make accurate throws at all three levels of the field.
