Today, we are going to take a look at the highest-rated linebackers in the Class of 2023 in Indiana. These players have a lot of potential. These linebackers have big things ahead of them in the fall.
Drayk Bowen Drayk Bowen 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Andrean | 2023 State IN , 6’2, 215 pounds, Andrean
Drayk Bowen Drayk Bowen 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Andrean | 2023 State IN is a great all-around contributor for Andrean. He plays in all three phases. Bowen makes his greatest impact at linebacker, though. Bowen is a fast and physical player. On runs up the middle, he puts his foot in the ground and attacks the line of scrimmage. Bowen chases down outside run plays with ease. He has the football instincts that match his physical attributes. Bowen reads plays well, allowing him to serve as the quarterback of the defense. Bowen’s speed will also suit him well in the passing game. There will not be an assignment too difficult for him in coverage.

Chris Jordan Chris Jordan 6'0" | 240 lbs | LB Warren Central | 2023 State IN is the type of player who can completely wreck an offense’s entire game plan. Jordan can line up at several different spots. Jordan can play middle or outside linebacker. He can also line up with his hand in the ground in short yardage situations. The thing that stands out to me the most with Jordan, is his ability to get into the backfield. In blitz packages, Jordan is difficult for the offensive line to deal with. He has great speed and uses his hands well. Jordan finishes every play well as he is a strong tackler.

Dylan Bennett Dylan Bennett 6'1" | 225 lbs | LB Carroll | 2023 State IN is a very fundamentally-sound linebacker for the Carroll Chargers. Bennett pursues the football well. He has great lateral quickness that will allow him to cover from sideline-to-sideline. Bennett is a great tackler. He does a good job setting himself up, taking great angles, and finishing the play. Bennett is constantly around the ball. Dylan Bennett Dylan Bennett 6'1" | 225 lbs | LB Carroll | 2023 State IN is the type of disciplined linebacker that can be a solid linebacker for any defense at the next level.
These three linebackers have what it takes to have an outstanding season this upcoming year. These represent the top half of the linebackers that are in our state rankings for the Class of 2023. The remaining three in the rankings will be covered tomorrow. Later in the offseason, we will take a look at the linebackers in the class who are outside of the rankings who are ready to make a significant stride. These three rising prospects are on the cusp of big things in the fall.
