We have spent the past few days showcasing the rich defensive backfield talent that Indiana has in the Class of 2022. The state is full of top-tier talent on the back end of the defense. Today, we will break down the final defensive backs that are currently ranked in our state rankings for the Class of 2022. These four are capable of moving up the rankings for the position. These may be relatively unheralded prospects, but they are players who can make a big difference for any team at the college level.

[player_tooltip player_id="98098" first="Ta’Shy" last="Stewart"] leads the Kokomo Wildkats defense. He is a hard-hitting safety that sets the tone for his defensive teammates. Stewart has the great coverage skills to lead any defensive backfield. He has the speed to match any receiver step-for-step. Stewart can disrupt any potentially big play.

[player_tooltip player_id="98100" first="Keenan" last="Hicks"] has the important ability of winning at the snap. He gets off the ball extremely well. Hicks has tremendous ball skills and can wreak havoc for any quarterback or receiver. Hicks can shadow any receiver that he is tasked with covering. Hicks is able to put his foot in the ground, drive on the ball and make the play.

[player_tooltip player_id="98105" first="Brock" last="Robertson"] has the necessary ball skills to make any play defensively. He has the ability to break up passes and shut down any offense. Robertson contributes to his team in a plethora of ways. He is willing to make plays on special teams. Further complimenting his skillset is the fact that he is a dependable tackler. He is also very quick and always finishes the play.

[player_tooltip player_id="98106" first="Kennon" last="Tucker"] has the vital ability to read the eyes of the quarterback. Tucker’s tape shows that he has great instincts. Tucker is a very quick player and he also has a physical element to his game. Tucker is a hard-hitter and a disciplined tackler. [player_tooltip player_id="98106" first="Kennon" last="Tucker"] has the ability and the instincts to succeed at the next level.
Indiana has a remarkably talented crop of defensive backs. These prospects have a huge year ahead of them and they have a lot of potential. I would anticipate these four climbing the rankings by the time the season is over. The competition in Indiana at this position is incredibly stiff in the Class of 2022. Later this summer, I will take a look at the Senior-to-be defensive backs who are currently unranked, but, without question, have a chip on their shoulder and are capable of big things. It is going to be difficult to rack up passing yards against these four. These student-athletes are on the cusp of breakout Senior seasons this upcoming fall.
