The saying, "it all starts up front," is a valid statement. Having a strong offensive line is crucial to teams, and can make the difference between winning and losing.  There has been a lot of talent up front in the state of Oregon. In this piece, we will be taking a look at the linemen who have shown their power and grit in the trenches. Here are 5 of the top guys. [player_tooltip player_id="28890" first="Austin" last="Leykam"], C, 6’2" 265lbs, JR, Lake Oswego High School Leykam is a big force for Lake Oswego High. Playing center, Leykam is a strong piece in the middle, moving his defensive opponent in forceful ways. He is quick with his run blocking, slamming into the facemask of whoever is lined up against him with speed. He also has great pass blocking, keeping his ground on the line. Austin also has a solid snap hand and very accurate snaps throughout his gameplay.  Austin can definitely play at the next level with his talent on the front line. Henry Rankin, OT, 6’1" 240lbs, JR, Siuslaw High School Rankin is sitting at right tackle on the offensive line for the Vikings. He is a big hitter, who made all-state as a sophomore. Henry is a bully against defenders and has a great talent of setting the edge for the offense. Rankin is a good leader for the line and is a huge addition to the Siuslaw offense. He will be a good prospect for programs looking for big boys up front. Nathan Horsey, OT, 6’2" 245lbs, SR, Roosevelt High School Nathan is a crucial part of the Roosevelt team. Playing on both sides of the ball, Nathan is a work horse for the Roughriders. He is a good tackle on the offensive line and plays with power. Horsey is quick off the ball and bulls his way through each core of the opponent’s defense. Nathan’s run blocking seems like it is almost perfected. He plays with composure with his pass blocking as well. Horsey is going to be a stud in the next level with his work ethic and football talent. Cyrus Markowitz, G, 6’0" 270lbs, SR, Liberty High School Markowitz is an iron man on the line. He is dynamite at left guard and has strong pulls leaving opponents flat on their numbers. He knows how to sit on his pass block to create a solid pocket for the QB. Cyrus is also a big help to his brothers on the line and is known to stick his nose into a double team. He is a old school lineman that you want blocking for you. [player_tooltip player_id="28740" first="Kanen" last="Rossi"], G, 6’3" 280lbs, SR, Sunset High School Rossi is a versatile player playing guard and switching to center for the Sunset Apollos. Rossi is a big center who is constantly making lanes for his backs. Kanen is a leader on both sides of the ball and leaves his mark on opponents with his hard-hitting style. He is going to be big for college programs due to his physicality and versatility.
