The Bobcats of Basehor-Linwood went 7-4 last season. In 2021, they will be returning several key players from last year. Here are five players from Basehor-Linwood to keep an eye on this season as they try to improve upon their impressive performance in 2020. OL, [player_tooltip player_id="35644" first="Levi" last="Cooley"], 6’4, 265 [player_tooltip player_id="35644" first="Levi" last="Cooley"] is the 2nd ranked OL and the 14th ranked player overall in the class of 2023. He plays as a LT. In pass pro, he sets up vertically while playing at a good base, uses his long arms and quick hands to deliver a powerful punch to the frame of the 5T, keeps his feet constantly moving and uses his very good play strength and physical toughness to toss the 5T to the ground with ease. When run blocking, he fires off the ball using his good quickness to get the outside shoulder of his man while playing at a good pad level as he wins the leverage battle against shorter 5T, rolls his hips on contact using his play strength in his upper and lower body to drive him off the ball and is able to finish the block to the ground. WR, [player_tooltip player_id="35578" first="Jordan" last="Brown"], 6’4, 170 [player_tooltip player_id="35578" first="Jordan" last="Brown"] is the #4 ranked WR and the 21st ranked player overall in the class of 2022. He had an excellent Junior season in 2020 as he caught 73 passes for 1,048 yds and 16 TD. He plays on the outside as an X. He takes long, quick strides while using his very good mental processing while reading the coverage as he gets behind the CB on go routes or finds the soft spot in zone coverage, tracks the ball in the air very well possessing excellent hands as he can make 1 handed catches with ease. After the catch, he uses his very good play speed and acceleration to outrun all defenders for large gains as well as touchdowns. LB, Aidan Ingram, 6’3, 205 Aidan Ingram is the 3rd ranked LB and the 26th ranked player overall in the class of 2022. In 2020, he made 95 tackles with 7 TFL, 2 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 forced fumbles and a pass defensed. He plays as an ILB. Against the run, he uses his excellent instincts and football intelligence to key and diagnose the play quickly, his quickness to navigate through traffic and his leverage and play strength in his upper body, lower body and core to deliver a punishing hit on very quick as well as large RB bringing them down with force. He displays excellent competitive toughness as he makes makes plays consistently at the goal line preventing a touchdown. Against the pass, he drops into coverage defending the curl zone, reads the QB while patrolling his zone, tracks the ball in the air and times his hands effectively disrupting the trajectory of the ball for a PBU. RB, [player_tooltip player_id="88883" first="Zack" last="Sisemore"], 6’0, 175 [player_tooltip player_id="88883" first="Zack" last="Sisemore"] is the 3rd ranked RB and the 29th ranked player overall in the class of 2022. he had a phenomenal season in 2020 as he rushed for 1,690 on 295 carries with 21 rushing TD. He scored at least one TD in every game and had at least 105 rushing yards in every game except one. He was also a reliable receiver as he caught 25 passes for 220 yards and 2 TD. He displays very good vision as he finds the open hole with ease, showing good burst through the hole as he accelerates to top speed quickly and uses his excellent play speed and athletic ability to outrun all defenders en route to a large gain or a TD. At times he will line up in the slot and shows very good play speed as he quickly gets behind the DB on seam routes, displaying very good hands as he possesses a catch radius that enables him to catch the ball with his hands on passes that are thrown both in and out of his strike zone. DL, Dalton Harris, 6’2, 185 Dalton Harris had an impressive Junior season in 2020. He made 61 tackles with 8.5 TFL and 3 sacks. He plays as a DE where he lines up primarily in a 4i. Against the run, he fires out low showing great flexibility as he wins the leverage battle against the OT with ease, uses his very good hand use and physical toughness to stack the OT at the point of attack and shed the block. He keeps his eyes on the ball carrier constantly and shows good form tackling ability as he wraps up powerful RB and brings him down with ease. Against the pass, he shows good burst off the ball as uses his very good quickness to penetrate the B gap before the OG can set up to block, displays good motor and closing speed in pursuit of the QB and finishes up with a sack or a hurry as he forces the QB to pass the ball sooner than he anticipated leading to an interception.
