Centennial (Corona) star defensive back [player_tooltip player_id="25243" first="Jaden" last="Mickey"] announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Sunday.
Mickey led the Huskies with six interceptions as a sophomore last season and had two interception returns for touchdowns.
He told 247Sports that the Notre Dame coaching staff was prepared and impressed him with their organization and presentation. He also likes the vast network that Notre Dame has outside of football.
"It’s really the best of both worlds. The academics they have and the athletics they have. They compete for a national championship every year, it’s crazy," Mickey told Tom Loy. "The networking, they have some of the biggest networks in the country and there’s really no place like Notre Dame."
He will likely cancel all of his scheduled visits when the dead period is over and he believes he is fully committed to Notre Dame.
Mickey is a lockdown corner who has a nose for the ball and can step up to make tackles in the outside running game.
