Undervalued 2022 OL

There are some big nasty kids in Arizona that are looking to beat some people up in the fall. Most of these guys have been faced with a variety of adverse situations like physical size, school size, COVID cancellations, and others. However, all signs point to these guys making a statement for the fall 2021 season. Here's a look at 5 undervalued OL to keep an eye on: <img class="alignright wp-image-116873" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/03/PREP-REDZONE-PICTURE-NEW-300x169.jpg" alt="" width="332" height="187" /> <strong>Tony Servin,</strong> <em>6’4" 300lbs, Sierra Linda HS</em> Servin is a kid that flat out loves football. If you’re looking for a kid that will fight through adversity, he’s your guy. After fall camp, his Junior season at Sierra Linda was completely cancelled and he was left hanging with no season. However, from previous evaluations he has impressed. He shows solid position versatility along the OL and possesses a violent punch. Excellent length/reach and holds ground well in a pass set. Seems to have a good football IQ to switch or pick up stunts. Definitely a kid that’s hungry to ball to get on your radar. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="100730" first="Armando" last="Nieves"],</strong> <em>6’6" 300lbs, Paradise Valley HS</em> Nieves comes in with a excellent frame and length. Utilized at both LT and RT, Nieves displays a solid initial reaction with the ability to quickly shoot lateral and engage to open up holes. He shows coordinated footwork all around to step left, step right, or in a pass set. Given his size and frame, he has a tremendous upside that could help him boost his recruitment and draw some much deserved attention. Expect Nieves to be a well known hog up front during his senor campaign. [player_tooltip player_id="42881" first="Jaden" last="Lay"], <em>5’11" 255lbs, Valley Vista HS</em> Make no mistake on his size, Lay is an absolute warrior up front. He is a very powerful kid that transitions weight room strength to field nicely, and has been putting up big numbers in the wight room as of late. He displays solid drive and leverage with the ability to knock the hats off opponents with his initial strike with violence. He shows good lateral agility and quickness and reaches the second level when needed. Plays the game with a mean streak and is a fun kid to watch on the OL.<img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-66713" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2020/10/IMG_4689-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /> <strong>Jake Burrow,</strong> <em>6’0" 300lbs, Notre Dame Prep</em> Burrow comes in undersized, but his production last season was legit as he frequently paved the lanes for an explosive Notre Dame Prep offense at center. He displayed solid drive with a good understanding of leverage to finish blocks. He did a great job getting underneath taller opponents and utilized his strength. Solid hand placement in a pass set and held ground fairly well overall. He has recently made a huge jump in the weight room throwing up 405 on bench press and squatting 505 to go with it. If he can transfer his weight room strength to functional strength, he’s going to be a scary sight in the trenches next season. <strong>Cristian Oropeza,</strong> <em>6’1" 310lbs, Glendale HS</em> Oropeza was part of a very talented Glendale squad that was an easy playoff contender barring COVID complications during the season. He sizes up with a wide base and plays mean in the trenches. Mainly at guard, he displayed solid lateral mobility and quickness to be able to pull and rack up numerous pancakes. He did a good job getting to the second level when needed as well. Powerful at the point of contact and opened up big holes for Glendale. &nbsp;
