The 9A State Championship went back to Canistota-Freeman for the third straight year. The 11-1 Pride had put up over 40 points in all but four games. They won three of four close games, one of those was a payback win from their only loss early in the season. Offensively, they liked the pistol-spread offense, lots of read-options with a running QB and a good RB. Defensively, they liked the 3-3 defensive set and were stingy in giving up points, only giving up more than 10 points in three games while pitching five shutouts on the year.

Players Returning:
RB/DB- <strong>Noah Kleinsasser</strong> is a hard runner on offense, and reads his receiver well on defense.
RB/LB- <strong>Ethan Balvin</strong> is an aggressive tackler, but still has good form on the tackle.
