James Burford Jr 5’10 175 Richards HS Twitter Highlights
Starting off with Mr. Burford he is a dual-threat QB from Richards HS. Last season he ran the read-option where his mobility, speed, and quick acceleration came to light. He also has a touch on the lob pass and can escape the collapsing pocket making a play downfield. Burford has been putting in work this offseason to improve his skill set, I’ve seen him at showcases leading up to this spring season and he has improved since then. Burford is on a talented Richards team with weapons on both sides of the ball, keep an eye on him as the season progresses as he’ll turning heads in the process.

Next up is Mr. Murphy from Minooka HS, he has the footwork to get the ball off in the pocket and throw on the run. His pocket presence helps him when the pocket is collapsing where he evades the pressure by stepping up in the pocket. He puts the ball in the receiver’s basket and has a cannon for an arm showcasing his arm strength. Murphy has been going to Throw It Deep on Sunday mornings to improve his game and it’ll show once the pads get put on come March 19th.

Mr. Toma is an up-and-coming player from Oswego HS. He uses his footwork to make throws in the pocket and on the run where he also does a good job of flipping his hips to get more velocity on the ball. He also runs the read-option showcasing his mobility and reads his blocks when doing so. Toma is going to turn heads the next few years and has untapped potential yet to flourish.
Noah Berlett 5’11 165 Washington Community HS Twitter Highlights
Mr. Berlett is from Washington Community HS. He has a touch on the deep ball, can throw on the run, and makes level three throws. When he escapes the pocket he puts zip on the ball and showcases his arm strength in doing so. Look for Prucha to have his recruiting gain traction after this spring season and become a name to know.

Pappas still has untapped potential and come next week once the season starts some of that potential will come to light.
These QBs are in similar boats needing their junior year film before their recruiting takes off. Each of these players has the potential to play at the next level, the only thing that’s missing is the updated film from the spring season that’s starting March 19th.
