These athletes have had an extended offseason because of covid and look to show how they’ve developed during that time. They have caught traction by going to camps, training sessions, and posting their progress on Twitter. Here are the eight WRs to know heading into the spring season.

Starting off we’re taking a look at Mr. Tremblay from Lincoln-Way East HS. He has the speed to take the top off of the defense along with his quick burst off the LOS and he uses this speed to blow by the second level of defenders. He makes contested catches along with making sideline catches with a toe tap, is shifty making the first defender miss, and is a deadly return man. Tremblay has been putting in work during this extended offseason and it’s going to be a sight to see. Overall, he’s an electric player on a dominant Lincoln-Way East team and once he gets his junior year film his offers will start pilling on.
Eli Reed Eli Reed 5'11" | 185 lbs | WR Downers Grove South | 2022 State IL 5’11 190 Downers Grove South HS Twitter Highlights
Next up is Mr. Reed from Downers Grove South HS. He has killer speed which he uses to blow by the 2nd level of defenders and being a deep vertical threat defenses need to key on. He uses his speed cut to create separation from defenders, lays out for catches, and can turn a short pass into a huge gain/touchdown. He’s also a good return man and can make plays in both the return game as well as at receiver. Overall, Reed is apart of a dominant receiver core at Downers Grove South and once his junior season film comes in so will the offers.
Khadari Kurns Homewood-Flossmoor HS Twitter Highlights
Mr. Kurns is from Homewood-Flossmoor HS. He has quick acceleration which goes hand in hand with his change of direction where he can stop on a dime and get back to full speed quickly. He sticks at the top of his routes creating separation from defenders, is good in open space using his jump cuts, and has the body control to get into the endzone after getting hit. Overall, Kurns is apart of a dominant Homewood-Flossmoor team and once he gets this spring season film in he’ll start gaining traction.
Max Reese Max Reese 6'3" | 215 lbs | WR Fenwick | 2022 State IL 6’3 215 Fenwick HS Twitter Highlights
Mr. Reese is from Fenwick HS. He is a deep threat that high points the ball to make contested catches, is quick off the line of scrimmage, and fights for extra yards. While running routes he uses his speed cut to create separation from the defender and once he catches the ball he plants his foot into the ground to turn upfield. Overall, Reese is on a loaded Fenwick receiver core that has weapons all over. Look for Reese to showcase his skillset once again gaining more traction in his recruiting journey.
Toriano Tate Toriano Tate 6'1" | 195 lbs | WR Dekalb | 2022 State IL 6’1 195 Dekalb HS Twitter Highlights
Mr. Tate is from Dekalb HS. He’s quick of the line of scrimmage which helps him stick his defenders to make contested catches downfield. His speed comes to light in jet sweeps where he’s able to turn the corner for a huge gain. He also finds the soft spot in the defense resulting in easy completions and blocks in the running game. Overall, Tate looks to complete a full season this spring and once he does his recruiting will gain traction.
Reggie Fleurima Reggie Fleurima 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR Naperville Central | 2022 State IL 6’2 205 Naperville Central HS Twitter Highlights

Once he secures the catch he plants his foot into the ground to turn upfield where he breaks arm tackles. His playmaking abilities are a sight to see as he’s already gotten offers from D1 schools. Overall, Fleurima looks to showcase how he’s developed since last season and improve his recruiting stock as well.

Mr. Hudak is from Minooka HS. He uses his speed while running 9 routes to beat the defender deep and high points the ball to make the contested catch. He’s also used in jet sweeps where he’s able to turn the corner and get past the 2nd level of defenders. When running routes he breaks at the top of his routes to create separation from the defender and fights for extra yards after securing the catch. Tyler Morris Tyler Morris 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Nazareth | 2022 State IL 6’0 178 Nazareth Academy Twitter Highlights
Mr. Morris is from Nazareth Academy. He’s an overall playmaker and is one that defenses always need to key on. He makes contested catches, can make back-shoulder throws, is a deep threat, and breaks defenders off at the top of his routes. He’s also a deadly return man where he reads his blocks and turns on the burners to blow by the defenders. He’s quick off the line of scrimmage and his elusiveness comes to light by turning a five-yard catch into a twenty-plus yard gain because he’s making defenders miss open-field tackles. Overall, Morris looks to prove the doubters wrong as he wasn’t ranked as one of the top players in the nation for his position when he should be.
These WRs are in similar boats needing their junior year film before their recruiting takes off. Each of these players has the potential to play at the next level, the only thing that’s missing is the updated film from the spring season that’s starting in a week.
