Get to know the LOCKDOWN Defense at St. Frances Academy

The following list is not a list of ranking but rather a showcase of the incredible amount of talent present on the St. Frances Academy defensive roster. This defense is absolutely formidable and they deserve a lot of recognition and praise. Not only are these classmates not graduating until 2022, but they also all remain uncommitted. Each player on this list has multiple offers from power five conference programs and there is no doubt that they will all thrive at the next level and potentially make it in the NFL.   2022 6-3 235 DL [player_tooltip player_id="90500" first="Aaron" last="Wilson"] – St. Frances Academy Aaron has ridiculous speed off of the snap. He can shed any block and there is not a more persistent tackler in the 2022 class. He can also attack from both inside and outside the line of scrimmage with a variety of different moves and combinations he has developed during his high school tenure. [player_tooltip player_id="90500" first="Aaron" last="Wilson"] is going to be an absolute nightmare for division one offenses and his commitment status should draw the attention of programs nationwide.   2022 6-4 245 DL [player_tooltip player_id="90499" first="Derrick" last="Moore"] – St. Frances Academy [player_tooltip player_id="90499" first="Derrick" last="Moore"] has improved drastically every single year and the main reason for this is hard work. Derrick does not shy away from challenges, in fact, he welcomes them. He’s the kind of defensive end who thrives when rushing only four instead of six. It makes him more aggressive and tenacious because he understands that even more effort is required from him in that situation. He’s a total team player. Derrick’s incredible football IQ will also take him a long way at the next level, and there’s no doubt he’s going to continue to showcase it in dominant fashion with St. Frances Academy.   2022 6-3 230 LB [player_tooltip player_id="90497" first="Jaishawn" last="Barham"] – St. Frances Academy Once committed to an elite program, which he will be soon, [player_tooltip player_id="90497" first="Jaishawn" last="Barham"] will be the captain of that program’s defense within four years. He’s an absolute difference maker because he’s not just dangerous upfront but also in coverage. Jaishawn has incredible instincts, and he uses them to sniff plays out in order to position himself for the stop, regardless of the play-type. He’s absolutely one of the most dynamic linebackers in the country skillset-wise, but Jaishawn will also bring immense leadership and positive team spirit wherever he ends up deciding to play.   2022 5-11 160 DB Cam Johnson – St. Frances Academy Cam cannot just stay with anybody but with everybody. He does so by keeping the game in front of him but also by staying patient. He’s already developed a knack for bailing out linebackers who give up the outside, and he does so by blowing up the play out of nowhere and with explosive passion. Actually, the most beautiful part of Cam’s game, in fact, is that he is never nowhere. He always positions himself somewhere to be effective and he’s unafraid to cover for his teammates. Any secondary Cam Johnson joins at the next level will become more competitive and dynamic as a direct result of his presence.   2022 6-5 310 DL [player_tooltip player_id="90501" first="Nasir" last="Pearce"] – St. Frances Academy There is no doubt that Nasir is ready for the next level physically. His sheer presence on the defensive line clogs up any potential running lane for offenses, and his long arms make it very difficult for smaller quarterbacks to throw the ball over him. He’s also a tackling menace who is very efficient at minimizing the breakout of big plays. [player_tooltip player_id="90501" first="Nasir" last="Pearce"] is going to make a definite impact at the next level, and the fact that he has another year of experience and improvement ahead of him bodes extremely well for his recruitment.
