Kickers need scouting love just like any other position.
Here is a look at five kickers from the Class 4A ranks that scored well in 2020.
<strong>Joshua Kirby, 6’4”, 180, St. James Academy </strong>– Kirby unofficially led all Class 4A kickers in points with 56 points. He converted on 53 of 55 PAT attempts and added a 37-yard field goal. The senior kicker also played wide receiver and caught four touchdown passes for the Thunder
<strong>Jackson McWilliams, 5’10”, 160, Tonganoxie </strong>– The Chieftain freshman kicker was successful on 41 of 43 PAT attempts and converted three of four field-goal attempts. McWilliams longest field goal was a 41-yarder which came against Southern Boone.
<strong>Collin Ridell, 5’8”, 180, Basehor-Linwood </strong>– Ridell scored 46 points all on PATs. He did not have a field goals attempt in 2020 for the Bobcats. Ridell has signed to play college soccer at Oklahoma Wesleyan.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35434" first="Chase" last="White"], 5’11”, 180, Andover-Central </strong>– White converted on 41 of 43 PAT attempts in his senior season. He also made four of five field-goal attempts. He made two 35-yard field goals. White played quarterback for the Jaguars and threw 15 touchdowns.
<strong>Aiden Battle, 5’7”, 145, Atchison </strong> – Battle, who is just a sophomore, scored 27 points and was a perfect three for three on field-goal attempts. His longest field goal was a 38-yarder. The Redmen kick was successful on 18 of 20 PAT attempts.
