The Central Catholic League of central Ohio is traditionally one of the most competitive football conferences in the state. Primarily composed of mid-sized football programs, the CCL is well represented in the Ohio high school playoffs each year. These are some of the players to watch for their upcoming senior season.

Thompson is one of the most athletic players in Ohio. As an outside linebacker working out of a two-point stance, he rockets off the edge completely disrupting the opposing offense in its own backfield. Thompson shows his versatility in covering and making plays in the flat when not rushing.

A combination of quickness and power, Tooson can play either defensive end or defensive tackle. He runs by, over, or through offensive blockers who have little hope of slowing him down. Tooson has an inside slant move that is unstoppable.

Johnson can line up as an ace-back, halfback, or I-Formation tailback and be equally effective making big plays. He can take the toss sweep to the perimeter in a heartbeat and weave his way downfield without even getting touched at times. A quick and agile athlete, Johnson doubles as a safety on defense.

Kenny has pure speed and can hurt the opposing team in many ways. As a press corner in man coverage, he can completely shut down receivers. As a wideout, Kenny can burn the defense running by defensive backs on takeoff or seam routes or with his speed running the jet sweep.

Saunders is a physical safety that closes with speed to make plays on the perimeter. He is a physical tackler that makes plays in the openfield due to his athleticism. Saunders is a dangerous wide receiver and kickoff returner as well.
